I'm sitting in this place not drinking a coffee. When I first walked in I approached the counter, said hi to a barista, and stood there waiting and watching five or six employees do whatever they were doing, and waited for one of them to ask me if I would like anything, but no one said anything. A couple of them even looked at me, and just went about their business without saying a word. So after a couple minutes of nobody asking me if I would like to buy a coffee, I decided I'll just sit in one of their most uncomfortable chairs, read the news, post a review, and not buy their product. No problem, I just saved 4 bucks. Safe to say I'll never be coming back. Employees need to be taught some customer service skills I think if they want to sell more coffee. While I stood there I watched someone come in the front door, go right to the register, a barista greeted them immediately and handed them their takeout order, then walked away from the register and didn't acknowledge my presence at all. I was there first and waiting for someone to serve me, and they treated me like I was invisible. Unfortunately I can't post a review without giving up at least one star, but it's hard to give them any stars given that I never got to try their coffee. So this is a zero out of 5 review. Read moreThis is a good location for coffee bean as it’s situated in a quiet, and safer part of Placentia. There are less coffee bean store right now due to the pandemic so I am going here quite often as one closer to where I live didn’t survive the pandemic. Drinks and snacks are up to the standard and same with the ambience. However, same can’t always be said about the Barista. I remember when I went to the store to use prepaid coffee bean app but couldn’t due to their scanner malfunction. Instead of giving an advice to resort the matter to corporate or give a small discount or so, he just quickly telling me it’s not everyday in a rude manner. I understand some people have becoming difficult customer since the pandemic but I didn’t give him any attitude whatsoever. Didn’t give him a weird look or anything as I was wearing a mask that day. The barista at Starbuck in North State College has much better attitude than here even though their store aren’t as nice as this one. It is too bad bc coffee bean has always been a good alternative to Starbuck. Hope staff at this location can change their attitude...
Read more2/7/2024 I come here semi-regularly. Tonight about 5pm a group of 6 adults came and were gathered at one table. They were talking incredibly obnoxiously loud with zero respect for the many other people there. It was so extreme that they needed to be warned and then kicked out if they did not quiet down but they were not.
It is not too easy for the employees to hear such groups due to the distance from the order counter as well as the dividing wall between the two sides. An employee needs to regularly cycle through the side where customers sit so they can give proper warning to those who are being so discourteous to other customers there who have an equal right to work in nondisruptive setting.
