So disappointing ! This doesn't belong in the Placentia/ Yorba area. The staff .. not good. Security freaked out because we had a birthday gift of champagne. Clearly we aren't going to open it, but wanted to confiscate it to Security. The alcohol options are awful. We were told they had 4 different types of gin and actually only had the worst two. You can't have a glass of water, you have to buy a bottle of Niagara . The food was literally served in the cheapest Smart and Final paper hot dog bowls, cheap napkins and the cheapest plastic forks possible. The salsa was Pace Picante and chips were from Smart & Final. The cover charge was $15 at 7pm and you apparently can't be standing .. you have to be at a table seated. The band doesn't even come on until 10pm. If you get there before the cover charge you get a wrist band for some reason as if you leave you can't come back in. The amount of screens and video makes you feel like you might seizure. The ONLY plus of the entire place is the 80"s music. I give the place 2-3 months... I miss Rems. I miss great food, great ambiance, great staff, and just a fun place to go without 15 security checking your table every 5 minute. Don't waste your time, money and energy. I never give one star, but this definitely...
Read moreSo we were advised not to eat here because food wasn't great and they for some reason take your id & credit card and you don't Even know how much your meal is. So ate at Kelleys, which doesn't disappoint! As we approached the 80s bar, we were told they charge$15 per person ONLY CASH ( but you can use their ATM which charges you fees of course!) so much for all the advertising on social media saying opens at 5 and free! 😏 Once we enter... layout is the same as Rems, just added tons of TVs. Met up with our friends whom already had a table. But the minute someone from our party stood up security was all over them telling them they were blocking the walk away. I saw plenty people getting harassed about where they stood. I did however enjoy the music and the music videos. I did think the band could of started a little earlier than 10pm the crowd was a little on the older side, so 10 seemed a bit too late. The bathroom.... Dinner is the stalls had non working doors, couldn't lock it and kept opening on me. I had to literally hold it shut. Two tiny mirrors the size of a corn tortilla🤣 lol!! In the women's bathroom c'mon.. We need to check the hair and makeup! I don't think I'll recommend this place... If anything the Fullerton location was better...
Read moreWe went on a Sunday night at 9:30-10pm which was super slow. There were probably no more than 40-50 people including the staff. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed ourselves watching everyone perform though we didn't quite get the urge to go up yet. The decor was fun and neon lighting everywhere. I almost felt like I was in a pinball machine or a video game but the decor fits the name. It along with some of the songs took my friend and I back to our youth as we're in our late '50s. Canyon High School, Class of '84! Woo whoo. As far as the karaoke equipment it seemed to run pretty well and they had the words everywhere so everybody could sing along no matter what direction you were facing. We were encouraging all of the participants but it was just a slow night. The drinks were okay, $3 tacos were great and the onion rings were really good. I'm not sure if they're new but they're in a small strip mall on the corner of McCormick & YL Blvd., near the intersection of Yorba Linda Blvd. & Rose Dr. Give it a try, hopefully next time it'll be more lively. The bartender was awesome. I think they're new so they just need to give it some time and I'm sure their clientele base will build up with time, word of mouth and a little...
