Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Placerville

CURRENT REVIEW: I am very disappointed with this location. The online ordering process is great but the customer service and efficiency has gone down hill. Most of the time it only takes about 30min for my pizza to arrive from the time I order. Today I called after my pizza sat there for 30mins and was told they only have 1 driver so they were waiting for him to return. After an hour of placing the order I called again to cancel. Someone different answered the phone...they didnt even care that I was cancelling, it almost seemed like a favor that I was. The cold attitude from both employees put a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully when I go back months from now (instead of weeks like I normally do) they will have their staffing sorted out. What a complete shame.

INITIAL REVIEW FROM 9 MOS AGO: Last night I called to order a pizza to-go. Firstly, I wasn't sure if they would actually deliver to my area as I live across town but, they do! When I called in and ordered it was a bit rough to get my order placed but I figured they are freshly opened and maybe have some kinks to work out, no bid deal. I was told my pizza would be delivered within 40mins. After about 45mins of not seeing anyone I called in to see the status of things. For some reason there was an issue with my order....Being pregnant I was extra grumpy about this. Gabe answered the phone and assured me they would make my pizza & deliver it ASAP [10 mins cook time & about 15 mins delivery time] as well as reimburse me the cost. I just wanted to eat and was pleased with his response. When the driver showed up he brought me 2 pizzas and a dessert! What?!?! He also brought another staff member with him who apologized for the inconvenience! I called Gabe back with a warm thank you and enjoyed the meal. Thank you for going above and beyond Domino's!! Finally, after several attempts at re-inventing themselves, Domino's got it right!! I am so happy that this location opened up in Placerville, so we have an inexpensive pizza option that is actually really good! I typically order carryout, and have it delivered to my car when I arrive. They are always prompt, and smiling, and seem happy enough to help with whatever, even if it means running back inside to grab paper plates/napkins/cheese/etc to bring back out to the car. TIP these people! They deserve it! If you use the app and coupons here, you can get some amazing deals! I usually get the pick 2 or more items for $5.99 each (maybe it's now $6.99? Either way... Totally worth it and you'll save quite a bit) I like the sandwiches, the pasta is actually surprisingly tasty, of all things. My family loves the crispy bacon and tomato chicken bites. And the best thing to get is whatever pizza you like on their pan crust..so yummy! You won't throw this crust away, it's lightly crisp on the outside, and fluffy and moist inside with lots of flavor. It is a little extra to get the pan crust, but only like $2, and we'll worth it! I would even go so far as to say it's on the level with pizza hut pan pizza crust! Absolutely top tier service! The manager Mike was in there all by himself on a very extremely busy night. ( Except the delivery man that was running in-and-out) At 9pm, Mike was literally running from oven to pizza prep to phone to cash register to serving the pizza and it was just an amazing thing to watch! And he was doing it with a good attitude even though you could tell it was very difficult and demanding.
