I give the food that I had (Huevos Ranchero) Breakfast a 5 Star on taste and presentation. My wif had the Chef Salad and let me tell you, it was plenty and a side of Biscuits and Gravy. I had a tast of the biscuits & Gravy and it was a strong sausage flavor with a smooth creamy texture.
I had the Huevos Rancheros Breakfast, came with: Corn Tortillas topped with 2 Over - Meduim Eggs, Chili Beans, Pico De Gallo salsa (finely chopped), Ranchero Sauce and melted Chedder and Monterey Jack Cheese. Comes with an extra side of your choice of Corn or Flour Tortillas and a side of Sour Cream. It came with a choice of Country Fried Potatoes or Hash Browns. The Pico de Gallo Salsa adds a lot of character that complements the Ranchero Sauce to spice it up. The Chilli Beans has the traditional taste which rivals that of bar dives. Also similar consistency of Moo Moo's Burger Barn Chili. I bet Golden Waffle Cafe's Chili Beans taste great in their Omlette or on a Burger. O can't wait to try another opportunity.
All in all, the food was great. Recall that I mentioned the Food and Presentation deserves 5 Stars. However, Officially I give the Golden Waffle 4 Stars because they do not provide Military or Veterans Discount. If not for that,...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Golden Waffle Cafe in Placerville, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the California omelet, and I can confidently say that it was one of the best omelets I've ever had. The combination of avocado, tomato, and melted cheese was simply divine, and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The potatoes that accompanied the omelet were seasoned just right, providing a delightful contrast in texture and flavor.
The atmosphere of the cafe was cozy and inviting, with a friendly staff that made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The service was prompt, and the waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, such as the fresh flowers on the tables and the personalized greetings from the owners.
Overall, I would highly recommend The Golden Waffle Cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Placerville. The food is top-notch, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. I give The Golden Waffle Cafe a well-deserved 5-star rating, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
Read moreIf you love bland food you’ll absolutely love this place. Not a dusting of seasoning in sight. You can try to concoct your own using what’s on the table – salt, pepper, tobasco… Which is what I did. Potatoes? Dry and bland. How do you ruin fried potatoes??? It’s like they were dry-fried without grease so they were both not crispy and dried out. Hashbrowns? Not crispy. Do you like yours nice and mushy and still white? If so, this is for you. Corned beef is from a can. “Cappuccino” is just one of those cappuccino machines like they have in hospitals. With the powdered milk. 😂Waffles are just bisquick. Eggs over med came out with broken yolks. What was the point then? I get that Placerville isn’t like a culinary destination or anything, but this was gross even for basic seasoning-challenged, bland-o-city cuisine. There is most definitely a demographic for this type of food. Ask yourself this: do you think mayonnaise is spicy? Y = you’ll love this place....
