Donut Factory — Restaurant in Placerville

I don't like leaving bad reviews but we didn't have the best experience here. We came here one day and one of our doughnuts had what looked like a spot of green mold on the bottom of it. To be specific, it was a jelly filled doughnut. Perhaps it was a fresh doughnut, but the case wasn't clean? Not sure? The other doughnuts looked fine, it was just the issue with that doughnut. We THINK that it may have been an older doughnut though because of how the lady grabbed it. We had asked for one of the jelly doughnuts and she was just about to grab the one that was closest to her, but then she suddenly changed her mind and grabbed one further back. I'm guessing it was just older and she wanted to get rid of it? Either way, we aren't going back. We prefer the doughnut place across from Walmart on Missouri Flat Rd (great service there too.) Of course, it could have just been some kind of accident, but just to be on the safe side, we...

Sadly, I chose this place due to its location to buy $28.00 worth of donuts for an after soccer breakfast. The tell-tale sign I should have left and found another place was the instant smell of overly used oil. Not only were the donuts heavy, but had this disgusting taste in each bite. No one ate more than one-and most tossed theirs in the garbage. So embarrassing! I will not go here again. Also, when in the mood for donuts, if I don't smell sweet donuts I will turn on my heels and head out to the tried and true Heavenly Donuts on Cambridge in Cameron Park. No longer will I justify location for quality. They are the best tasting donuts I've ever had. And, no I have not been paid...

Just bought a few donuts at 11:00 this morning. They hardly had any selection and the chocolate bar looked very light brown with chocolate speckles in the frosting, weird. My son got the donut holes and they were hardly glazed at all. The cinnamon roll I bought had NO CINNAMON in it, it was so awful that I will NEVER be visiting this shop again. Also, in the past, they fill the jelly donuts only once you purchase it, which makes it very weird. So dissatisfied...
