We have been several times and decided it isn’t worth the cost.
A handpie shop without Cornish pasties is tantamount to criminal behavior. They eventually got an “english” version (quite a while after opening) to add to a list of odd pie selections for their forced “international/multicultural” theme. Essentially just Shepard’s pie, but with mushy meat, too many undercooked veggies and odd, heavy seasoning.
The crust is hit or miss, mostly miss. They precook the innards so they can quickly cook the shell, which makes for a less than ideal pie.
The staff is usually very friendly, but this last time the manager/owner? and staff member were baby talking to each other, which was bad enough, only to then have the staffer hand me my food with a halter top on and her massive patch of armpit hair hanging out… in a food establishment.
