Thai Noodle Express — Restaurant in Placerville

My husband and I hadn't had the chance to try any Thai restaurants in the area since moving here until recently. I'm honestly not sure why I chose this place over the other (Thai Unique) but here we are... First off, it was waaay smaller than I ever imagined, but that wasn't the deal breaker by any means. We walked in and had no idea what to even do. The staff just looked at us standing there and asked if we were ready to order. Ready to order already? We weren't offered to be seated. Were we supposed to seat ourselves, or did we need reservations? We weren't offered any menus. Heck, we didn't even know where the dang menus were at since there wasn't one hanging on the wall, so what were we even supposed to order? Turns out they were tucked behind the register so you had to be observant to notice them. So after seating ourselves, figuring out after sitting there for several minutes that table service was non-existent, finding and fetching our own menus, taking our own notes on our order, then walking up to the register to submit the order, they slowly brought out each dish one at a time. Now I give them full credit for putting out some delicious food, but sadly the service reeeally sucked. If you were eating here for a quick lunch or dinner alone or sharing two dishes amongst two or three people, this place would be it. But if you plan on ordering multiple dishes for anything larger than a group of three, eating it all "family style" and expect to be waited on like a regular restaurant, don't waste your time- just order...

Ive been customer with about 8-9 years . Since their previous tiny place up the street. I absolutely love ❤️ this restaurant & the Family & Workers every one very kind& professional. I only wish I could afford to eat it EVERY Day! I wish they could have a larger restaurant space. To improve (dine-in atmosphere) However I feel that could impact the food quality. Thai noodle is awesome & they are making it as general "American" standard flavor but if you love heat like me you can request it. & THEY will deliver the flavor! I only give 4 stars on atmosphere because still small in restaurant location & tricky parking if you want that atmosphere to sit &eat. All in All Excellent eats i highly recommend calling ahead to reserve table or order take-away. Idk if they do deliver i know door dash doesn't maybe Uber eats does. Frequently ive dine-in & take out & or done lunch...

The 1st time we went here the girl behind the counter was very knowledgeable about the menu items and was able to suggest things for us to eat. The food came fairly quickly, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was nice. However this time when we went it was completely the opposite. The girl behind the counter obviously was new and not only did she not know the menu but she could not give us any suggestions. They either had their air conditioning off or it was broken which made the inside of that building 98ﾟ. It took almost an hour for our food to be ready. In the meantime I had left and went out to the car because it was way too hot in there. My husband waited for the food and unfortunately it was lukewarm. I don't know if it had been sitting on the counter or what but it was an unfortunate experience this time. Not sure that we will...
