I've walked through placerville at least two dozen times. This time I stopped here for the electrify America charging station. While charging my car I took a walk down main Street. Last time I was here was during COVID. This was one of the most certain places you would catch COVID because zero people were complying with any of the health standards. Today you'll find drunks sitting outside of bars smoking. Motorcycles blasting through downtown at full volume. And what looks like a few good restaurants, however, judging from their health and safety standards during our global pandemic, not sure I want to give him a try. There's a lot of interesting history in placerville. This was the center of attention during the Gold Rush. There are some interesting gold rush era buildings and there's even a druid monument. Even though I give them one star, it's worth a drive-through town. Drive slow and take a few pictures out the window, but don't bother stopping.
