Came here for lunch last Sunday before Christmas. They had great reviews on Yelp so that aided in our decision. We walked in and they were busy, but it only took a few minutes to get a booth cleared for our family of 3. They have a stack of coloring books and cups of crayons that you can help yourself to in the front for kids, or bored adults. We grabbed a couple for my son and I. Great assortment of beers on tap too that I'll have to come back and try. We ordered stuffed jalapenos for an appetizer. They were halved fresh jalapenos filled with a mix of bacon and spinach artichoke dip and then baked. Super yummy if you like a little spice. My boyfriend ordered a Bloody Mary and I think it was the "Southwestern" Burger or something, it had bacon, bbq sauce and fried onions. It was huge, he took home half and said it was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips. The order came with 4 large pieces of fish that were perfect. Crispy, hot and not caked in batter. The fires that came with were thick cut, seasoned and fried to perfection. It came with a kale-cabbage-slaw that was tart, crunchy and fresh and had a bit of a asian/sesame oil touch to it. Good! We ordered our son pasta with butter and cheese, it came with cheesy garlic bread and was just okay. He ate mostly my fish and chips which was fine with me because I had such a big serving! There were lots of other things that looked super tasty, maybe for dinner out though since the items seemed a little pricey for lunch, although the burgers/sandwiches/salads/burgers/smallplates are good lunch prices. The quality and taste is definitely there! Great place for a sit down meal in downtown Placerville! #placerville #lunch #dinner #american #beer #bar #burgers

Ok second best fried green tomatoes here. I loved the variety of tomato ripeness there was and the tomatillo was bomb. Grits needed some salt but that was IT! The calamari and dip appetizer was a perfect cold dip to hot fried crispy calamari contrast. That beautiful spinach salad sounded and smelled equally as amazing. The blood orange vinegarette was the perfect touch for a delicious salad that we will be recreating at home if we can perfect the dressing they use. Coconut white chocolate mousse with the chocolate port was heaven in a cup. And the bartender made awesome old fashioneds.

If you're ever in Pleasanton ck this place out. Service was great our waitress was Anastasia, she was very helpful n very friendly food came out hot n pretty quickly super good selection very impressed would definitely return. 10/18/25' UPDATE: went back hoping to eat here again from Reno, unfortunately even though it states in their web pages that their "Dog Friendly" We were very disappointed to find out they actually were not able to accommodate our German Shepard, so we likely won't return.

Really understand how a business can have an off day or two and wanted to avoid writing such a review. However Bricks has left no choice due to their actions. My wife and I have had a few bad experiences at Bricks, including getting food poisoning in the years past. Unfortunately a friend, not knowing that, gave me a gift card at bricks for helping him move out of state last January.

Thought, maybe we will try it again, but now.. in Aug.. the realization is that anytime we thought about going out to eat.. we simply did not want to go to Bricks with bad past experiences including service

So finally went in to see what could be done with the gift card. Really wanted my friends online purchase to be refunded, but would have been ok with most any solution.

Unfortunately, after going in twice trying to be extremely friendly and explaining "don't want to put down a small local business, but we just simply will not be using this gift card" and being promised communication from management, once even by a day "supervisor".. there was absolutely no attempt to get in contact.

Finally, 3rd attempt, again.. explaining "don't want to publicly complain about a local small business" (being a long time business owner myself).. I received an answer.

"Eat here, or simply let us keep the full value of the gift card without rendering service, no other option"

I can't begin to explain the lack of professionalism.. as mentioned, there were several options that would not have cost them a dime, but not only do they try to duck communication but in the end, they were rude and simply had no desire to "make this right".. again.. at no cost to them. They preferred to maintain an unsatisfied customer.

Terrible business with, some, terrible and...

Zero if possible. Horrible food. Horrible waitress. Discrimination on my service dog. Will never eat here again. As soon as we entered, they had the nerve to seat us by the bar on highchairs. I told them I want a booth & it seemed it was a burden to them. One of the girls said she will have to check. Another asked "will that not do"? Then I said never mind will take the highchairs. One of the hostess said "I want to make sure you dog is a service dog". The audacity to even ask when my dog has her vest and tags on her plus her identification with photo. This made me even more furious. I've had been here 3x before & was never questioned about my dog. After we ordered our food with this unpleasant waitress, we waited 40 minutes to receive our food. I asked what took so long, her answer was that they were busy. Yet people who came after us got their food before us. My chicken was cold. This tells me it was sitting there for a while before she brought it out. The fries were so greasy you couldn't even taste the potato. My mom still has heartburn and feels nauseated from her entrée. I have never had such horrible service in my life. No care. No concern. No courtesy. No hospitality. Will never return & will spread the word to family and friends about this disgusting place. And the audacity to charge fees for using a credit card is outrageous. The bartender was another schmuck. The waitress never checked on us either. Their cloth napkins were stained with white stuff. Ugh. Never again! What a...
