Big Apple Bagels — Restaurant in Plainfield Charter Township

Beware if you place an order on the website the owner will not issue any refunds, even if they make a mistake. I've never spoken to someone so rude to a customer before. They shorted us in our cream cheese (see photo...not possible it could cover an entire bagel) and I called to request a refund and she told me even though I placed the order on the website she had no ability to issue a refund. I asked for our cream cheese on the side so we could toast our bagels at home. There is no way they would have used this tiny amount if we had asked for the cream cheese on the bagel. She was rude, argumentative and nasty. She was happy to tell me she's the owner and she did not care if we continued to give her business. Very sad that she does not value her customers or repeat business. The cherry on top was when she said to me, "it's just a little cream cheese." Just a little cream cheese, that I paid for and did not receive. I will give my business to another bagel business who values their customers and treats them with more respect. I never write reviews, and I especially do not write negative ones, but since my interaction was with the owner Kathy and she told me she does not care if we return I think it's fair that others know. Hopefully she will treat her customers better...

Hello my name is Samantha and I don’t know who I talked to in the phone but she was so patient with me because I ordered food online and meant to press delivery but instead I was just not thinking and had it be pick up. Which there was no way I could that. When I called to try to fix it there where no more drivers because they were making deliveries. So I was going to cancel the order and they could just have the sandwich. I didn’t even want a refund I was so mad at myself and it was clearly my fault. The lovely ladies that are working their today insisted on me to give them my address because they wanted to make it right! They delivered so fast and I couldn’t even say thank you so much. I was excited to be living back in the area and able to get one of my favorite breakfast spots bagels again. Man have I been super disappointed every time I’ve stopped in. Huge change not for the good since Sue owned it and had Chris and Irene working. They were the best. The new staff seems nice enough, but they are extremely slow. Never enough help and always out of things. Today there was one girl working with no help and once again super slow. I ordered a bagel with butter and cream cheese. Finally got my order and got all the way to work to find she never put the cream cheese on it. It wasn’t that difficult of an order. Today will be my last time going there.
