Good quality burger with a great blend of seasonings. An atmosphere and service a couple steps above many restaurants, but still casual enough.

Dish: Grand Burger with American Cheese - $18. The burger patty is half pound and you CAN get a double making it a full pound if beef for another $5. I ordered it medium and it was maybe a touch above that, but excellent! The seasoning gave it a very slight Texas twang and hearty flavor.

The toppings were good, thought the lettuce was a touch limp. It was well balanced overall and the bun was a great texture. The side of mayo let’s you decide how much you put on.

Side: Fries. These are on my top ten list of fries (maybe top five). They are about the way I’d choose to make them (if I could cook this good). The batter and seasoning were spot on. The skin left on the potatoes was light enough to be noticed for a good texture, but not overly. And the soft interior was amazing.

The burger was $18 with the fries which is on the higher end of a standard burger, but is a half pound patty. Maybe needs a few more fries to justify the cost, but the rest of the experience makes up for this, too. I’m on the fence with the cost.

Side: Bread and Butter. The butter was soft and standard. The bread had a tough and slightly thicker crust, but a full and soft inside that was hearty but good soft bread flavor (stuck on adjectives on this one). Not soft and sweet like some steakhouses, but good quality.

Service: The server we had was always attentive, cheerful, helpful, and everything you needed. Everyone was on their game and super awesome! My burger was on my table in less than 10 minutes after ordering.

I think the one major flaw I had with this restaurant was researching prices ahead of time. The website had all their menu items, but no prices. No one had posted a recent copy of their menu on Google Maps or anywhere else. I am posting it here for your benefit.

Atmosphere: They have two sides. One with TVs and one as a quieter restaurant feel. We chose the quiet side. It had a higher class Texas class. Everything was in its place and clean. I even saw someone (a manager?) walking around inspecting things. This place allows for casual, but is careful to pay attention to detail.

They also have seating outside with a wonderful view of the Grand River! You can sit outside or on an enclosed deck.

Conclusion: I recommend them more for the service, but the burger and fries were still amazing, too.

Today after spending the afternoon with my parents while they upgraded their ancient cell phones, and going to the mall to find cases for them we decided to stop here for dinner before heading home (was that just a run-on sentence?) The reason this location was chosen was because it was 6pm on a Friday and we were hoping they didn't have a long wait. We were correct...upon arriving we were told the wait was about 10-15 minutes. Well, I like their idea of 10-15 as it was more like 5-7 minutes.

Our server quickly stopped by our table and took our drink order, of course after telling us the drink specials. I was ecstatic to learn they have Pepsi products so I could have my fill of Mountain Dew! After looking at the menu for quite some time, we placed an order for what turned into a mini meal...the sampler appetizer and chips & salsa.

What was a little odd was that our server really didn't appear again until about 2 minutes before our appetizer came out. It wasn't until then that she took our actual dinner order. I suppose I don't mind that as much as it allowed more time between meal one and meal two. The appetizer was really good. I like that you had 4 items to choose between. The ribs fell off the bone which makes me happy. The quesadillas had a good amount of stuff inside, and not just cheese.

I didn't time it (but it felt like 15-20 minutes) the rest of our food comes out. Now, I know that a "good" steak doesn't need A1 Sauce, but I still like it to be offered. That was never the case. Our server disappeared until almost the end of the meal. So by the time she came back, there was really no point in asking for some A1. The broccoli was good, but would have been better with a little seasoning like butter, or something. The mashed potatoes with gravy were tasty and made me happy. The steak was good, but would have been great with a little sauce.

Our server did ask about dessert, but with the amount of food we had consumed there was just no room.

All in all not a bad place, but not someplace that I would visit regularly, mainly as the price is a little steep for just...

Visited tonight and ordered steak, medium rare. I asked for a salad as one of my sides, but asked that it be brought out with the meal. A while later, the waitress brought bread and my salad, then disappeared to take the next table’s order, who were seated maybe 15 minutes after us. Fine, she forgot, I’ll just move it to the side until my steak comes. Waiting. Next table that came in well after us now has their dinner delivered and I’m still on my first drink, with half a loaf of bread, an untouched salad, and no food. No worries, food came quickly after that. Except she dropped it off and disappeared. I cut into the steak and it’s well done. Not what I ordered. Good thing I saved the salad so I have something to eat while my dinner companion enjoys her steak. The waitress finally, 40 minutes later, comes to pick up things and deliver the check, and sees my steak. Oh sorry. Leaves with it. Comes back and says sorry again, I talked to the manager would you like them to come over? Wow - you mean the manager knows this got fubar by the kitchen and didn’t come over on their own? Yeah, no, guess not. But I’d like it to go now so I’m not sitting here another 40 minutes while I wait and then eat, forcing my dinner companion to sit there watching me. Sure sure sorry sorry. Comes back with the steak in a takeout box. Nothing to cut and check it - just the butter knife I have because everything else was taken away. Cut it as best I could - overcooked again. She took the price of the steak off the check, which I appreciated because I’m not eating this shoe leather. If you want terrible service from waitstaff that you’ll see three times in over an hour total, that not once comes by to check your meal or refill your drink order, with a good mini loaf of bread and TVs showing the weather, this is your place. My dog enjoyed the steak when I got home. You cannot build your brand on being a steakhouse and not know anything about steak this bad. Just tragic. Overpriced and under delivered. Will not return. This place was closed for a long time not long ago, and I wondered why - I...

Chose this place for Christmas Dinner with my Aunts, actually Christmas Eve Eve Dinner lol. I wanted a Good Steak from not a chain. I ordered the Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon, with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Onion Rings. I also added on a 1/3 rack of ribs. The Filet was Excellent, cooked perfectly with lots of taste. The onion rings were good, but nothing special. The Mashed Potatoes were excellent. Lastly for mine the Ribs were also excellent, fall off the bone with a very good bbq sauce. 1 of my Aunts ordered the Porterhouse steak. She stated it was Tough to cut, not very tender. However she stated once she got it cut it was very good. She also thought the Sweet Potato was excellent and her asparagus was only ok, however she prefers hers boiled not grilled so that may be why. The other Aunt got the Gorgonzola Steak. She stated it was very good. She also stated her House Salad and her Baked Potato were excellent. Just a side note the salad was very large for a side salad. Also the waitress gave us 1/2 off for the Porterhouse Steak, since it was so tough. The waitress was very nice and did a good job. I enjoyed the atmosphere here. Overall I give them 4 1/2 stars. Since I have to round it'll be 4 stars due to some small problems. Would I return? Absolutely!
