The food was great but the happy hour is a scam. First, when you are seated, you are given a QR code, which takes you to the website. So, you click on menus and there is a happy hour listed Mon-Fri 3-5. That’s the first scam. They don’t open til 4. Then they have certain food and drinks listed and as you scroll they have other specials, which vary by day. Not related to the food and drink listed above. So my husband and I (having chosen to go there for happy hour) ordered off the happy hour menu, which also included single tacos. Our waiter each brought us a plate of tacos, rather than the single taco we ordered. We figured fine, we will have leftovers. But when we got the bill, it was astronomical. We questioned the waiter who first said happy hour was 3-4. Then he corrected himself and try to explain which day each food items were part of the happy hour. It was so confusing and did not align with the menu. I could have argued it, but I was not in the mood. So, dine, but know you will pay full price for...
Read moreThe food is ok, but as a business they are very dysfunctional and unprofessional. Follow thru and following up with people is important more than ever these days, especially when your restaurant is in a community like this one. That is these trendy restaurants …And based on how this one is starting out, we’ll see just how long they last. Good creative food is one thing but if you can’t treat those in the community fairly and decent then you won’t last in Plainfield. I don’t care how good or trendy your food could be. And it’s not all that...
Read moreHappy to have another delicious restaurant option in Plainfield. Came here on a date night.
Everything is served tapas style. We decided to go light with our dinner, and 2 dishes was perfect. All items come out as soon as they're ready, and you can order more if you're still hungry.
For drinks I had the old fashioned (it's a smoky mezcal variant, and was quite good). My wife had the pepino (cucumber jalapeño cocktail), and she enjoyed it. (She did note that the spiciness of the jalapeño definitely came through.
For our meal, we ordered the CamaLeon shrimp tacos and the poblano chicken tapas. Bother were well executed, and delicious.
We're looking forward to coming back with a larger party so we can explore more...
