I ordered a side of onion rings, mozzarella, cheese, sticks, and a meatball sub. The mozzarella sticks were enjoyable, though a tad saltie for my preference. While they were tasty, I’d recommend a lighter hand on the seasoning to cater to those who prefer less salt in their cheese product. Overall, I rate the cheese sticks as a 4.0. Moving on to the meatball sub, the medium size portion offers fantastic value at $5.25. The sandwich size was impressive, but I wish for a bit more sauce. The overall experience I would rate the sub as a 3.5, as the flavor was good, but the meatball could use a bit more seasoning. Now, on to the onion rings, priced at $3.95. The portion size is generous, as depicted in the picture. I did not eat right away up on delivery, and therefore the onion rings were soggy. After taking my first bite, I noticed there were no onions in the onion ring. See photos. Overall I would rate the onion rings at a 1.0 Despite the minor critiques, Casa Rosaria’s appears to be a good choice in Plainsboro, New Jersey area. My brother came for a visit and decided to order pizza. It took around an hr and a half to get to us. He called to confirm the order was on the way, as we were already waiting for a while at this point. He was told the delivery driver was outside (they were not). He decided to wait outside. Finally at that hour and a half mark, a car drives up next to the parking spots and beeped his horn at him while saying "Delivery!" My brother, then, was told to open the car door and remove the boxes from the heated bag, which he did. I guess that is contactless delivery? ...then came the actual food... the mozzarella sticks appeared to be heated just enough to not be frozen. The pizza was cold and cheese barely melted. We live basically down the street as well so that is one more reason I cannot see how it took so long to get here. Casa Risaria is a hidden gem. I've lived in the area for 5+ years and this is my go to place for family happy hour pizza or wing night take outs. The Hawaian, buffalo chicken, and vegetarian pizzas are awesome. They are cheezy and the toppings are generous. I also appreciate the handmade dough as I can taste the sweet hint of fermentation in the pie and crust. The BBQ and buffalo chicken wings are also a unique tasty experience. They are both crispy and meaty. The Italiano stromboli is also to die for. It's huge even for a medium size and is packed full of flavor with generous amounts of ham, cheese and pepperoni. Some other recommended sides you should try include fried calamari and mozarella sticks. The owner or chef is very friendly over the phone and in person.
