First impressions of this place were highly disappointing, i never intend on returning to this restaurant... its a waste your time and money here .
I'm from out of town and it was difficult finding the entrance. Walked back and forth twice looking in the front of the building, no access, I had to call to ask where to enter... No signs indicating where to find the entrance, made it confusing, and where it is takes you into the back of the plaza which honestly looked like a vacant lot with the garbage bins.
Inside looks nice and we got seated right away, while ordering our drink I misread the drink i ordered so the waiter did ask me again to repeat it and that's when i realized i said the wrong drink , its a simple mistake but when I went to correct myself the eye rolling wasn't needed from the waiter.
The food came out quick and was decent enough to eat but there were subtle things that made the entire experience unpleasurable. Tried to order Guacamole & chips and was told that there wasn't any yet my main dish came with a side of Guacamole. so why tell us there was none? If you order a normal enchilada or chimichanga and want a type of meat inside its extra which doesn't make sense. My silverware was wrapped up in a stained cloth napkin that honestly looked like mold, which seeing that is not appealing when you're about to eat. Also seemed to be overpriced. Only two of us and we spent almost $60 here and were disappointed with everything.
Forgot to mention my guest with me asked for paper napkins instead because of the gross stained one * also if your waiter already showed signs of an attitude why would i risk my food by continuing to ask for things that probably shouldn't have been set out to begin with . if I noticed the napkin, I'm sure the staff knew too when they wrapped up...
Read moreMy wife and I tried this place for the first time tonight. The there are some other good Mexican places in the area, but I think this one may be the best. It starts with chips and salsa. The salsa was very good which is a good sign for a Mexican place. I'd like mine with a little more heat but it was clearly freshly made and I know they have to make it mild for the masses. Still excellent.
We also ordered drinks with one frozen daiquiri and a margarita. Both were made well. For entrees, my wife ordered the enchiladas and I got the mole poblano. We were both really happy each dish. Each is served with Mexican rice and refried beans. The enchiladas came with three of them and you can order any type you want. My wife got chicken and beaf and she thought they were great. She let me try some of the chicken and it was very well spiced with a red sauce. The mole poblano also came with tortillas and lettuce/tomato so you can make your own tacos. The mole sauce might of been the best I've had. It tasted like it was appropriately slow cooked and it wasn't overly sweet or chocolaty which I've experienced which I think is a popular way to Americanize the dish. This was more complex with smoky spiced taste. It was thicker and I'm guessing appropriately slow cooked resulting in a much better authentic sauce. Just excellent.
Finally the service was top notch with friendly staff where multiple servers helped bring the various dishes and drinks. The chips/salsa, water drinks were all refilled without delay. I think the owner/manager was of them which clearly demonstrates a dedication to service.
I highly recommend this place. Give it a shot, you...
Read moreParking is off to the side of the building and have a few spots in front..I’m sure this place is busier on weekends or later at night than when I came in for Taco Tuesday. Service - Waitress was Melody..I did 3 of the tacos, wanted more..but been munching all day in NY so I’m full. She did keep coming to check on me to see if I needed anything more, around 5 or 6 times..and there’s a good number of people in here. Skilled at her job, when I wasn’t looking for when she was bringing the food, she’d let me know that she was bringing it with a polite excuse me sir, foods ready..definitely appreciate that. Food - Again..came for Taco Tuesday. Ground Beef Taco was amazing. The Shredded Chicken..came with a spice to it that I wasn’t crazy for..but I also don’t eat a lot of Mexican food..so this is a new experience. Cuban Taco - excellent…and I’m not one for plantains…had to look up what they even were..added a nice touch to the taco. Again…you only get the tacos for the Taco Tuesday special…no rice, no sides and no extras..I’m sure if you paid for the extras (whether it be salsa, sour cream, etc..you’d get it). Atmosphere - Music is a touch loud, but no complaints..the TV was on above me and I could hear it without straining. I just moved to Bristol..so I’m exploring the different restaurants..I would come back here again..on a...
