Dallas Kabob House is a Pakistani restaurant where every dish is made to order. We’ve lived in Plano over 20 years and noticed this restaurant but never stopped in until this evening. We ordered the chicken seekh kabob and beef seekh kabob to go. Bread no longer comes with the entrees due to high prices so we ordered two pieces of naan separately. The naan was so good! As the menu says, the grilled dishes are prepared with fresh minced meat marinated in fresh grated spices and seasonings, molded on skewers, grilled to perfection and served over crisp chopped lettuce and onion with tamarind chutney and Raita. The meat dishes were spicy, flavorful, and as the menu says “grilled to perfection”. The young man who waited on us was a delight. He wanted us to get the most of our meal. He told us how to reheat leftover naan and the grilled meat. He asked us to smell the aroma of our dishes so that we know they were freshly prepared. He emphasized that nothing is prepared ahead of time. The restaurant features a buffet on Sundays between noon and 3. All dishes are prepared only when needed; again, nothing is prepared ahead of time. He urged us to come back for the Sunday buffet to try more dishes. We will return!

Tried DKH's new dish dum pukht last week. It was my first time coming to DKH after the management change. Good to see an improved ambiance; lay out was the same. I'd suggest shifting it a bit as it feels a bit crowded in some areas. I had a difficult time getting to the bathroom due to to the two tables directly in front of it, plus the line of chairs on the adjacent wall. Customer service was ok. We weren't offered water or a menu until my husband asked for both of these. The dum pukht itself was pretty good. Meat was very tender with a good mix of flavors (very little spice), potato was cooked to perfection. Quite salty for us, but we were told that is how it is cooked. Overall, a good dish to order if you're not wanting a typical oily salan or biryani dish. Didn't get a chance to try other items on the menu as we had to go somewhere else afterwards but will pay them another visit soon.

WoW This Place was Wonderful ! The Service was Special , All the foods were explained to me with patience! I Felt Welcomed and even Other custmers were very talkative with me and my companions about this style and culture of Pakistani Food . The beef was very juicy and fresh ! The Goat was absolutely delicious the hand made bread was so fresh it made my mouth water everytime i took a bite of it ! It You are a person who loves to try new foods with the perfect amount of spice and zest and love fresh hand picked vegetables. This is definitely this place for you . It is a very upscale resturant i would recommend a causal polo for men and a classy lady like outfit for the women. whether lunch or Dinner . The price is well worth it !

My second review of Dallas Kabob House. This time around I had arranged for off menu items. The owner, Syed Quettawaala, needs a couple of days’ notice to prepare non-standard cuisine.

-- Pirzola (Turkish style lamb chops) – it has been 6 long years since I last had lamb chops to die for good - Chef Yusuf at Bereket Turkish (Bridgeport CT, 2014). Today’s experience was at par with that. In fact, in terms of the quality (the butcher gets credit too) can’t imagine it being any better. For context, I’ve extensively traveled both domestic and international and do not recall tasting a superior version (grilled or otherwise). The meat was only treated with fresh lemon juice and non-invasive add-ons (salt, rosemary, thyme etc).

-- Other Turkish Cuisine – mainly Iskender kebap and Ali Nazik. I’d rate this quite high but frankly the lamb chops stole the show. The Iskender kebap was made with fresh garlic yogurt and gyro with just the right amount of sauce. The baba ghanoush in the Alinazik was freshly prepared and once again topped with high quality lamb.

-- Lamb Shinwari – the standard item on the menu is the goat version and contains higher volume of curry than your traditional versions. My order i.e. the Traditional shinwari – was made with lamb, fresh tomatoes and green peppers that yields a reduced yet richer gravy. Overall, the experience reminded me of traditional shinwari made in Khyber and whereabouts.

-- Kabuli Palao – once again was exceptional and done the right way i.e. palao made with the lamb shank hence the rice retaining the bone / meat juices.

Needless to say, I will be a repeat customer. Too bad this place is a serious drive otherwise I’d visit multiple times a week. I will arrange for a Persian cuisine experience during my next visit (again, non-standard...

This place deserves 0 stars for treating their staff like slaves. The lady owner needs to fix her behavior with her customers and staff both. I was there last Saturday around lunch time with my friends and order multiple items. We asked the server to add an additional item 10 minutes after placing our initial order which I'm sure most people do every time they go out to eat. This is not the first time I came to your restaurant or any restaurant. We got all our food but didn't get that 1 item even after we finished our food and after sitting there for almost 20 mins. I asked the server if that 1 item can be canceled and since we were already done eating and she politely said YES she will serve it to another table that was there. I really didn't mind paying for it but since we were done eating and it took them more.then 30 mins to prepare it I didn't want it to go to waste if possible. Well the owner lady completely lost it and started yelling at the poor girl who served us and sounded like she really needed that extra $15 to run her restaurant. I instantly asked the server to please add that item in my bill as well so that she won't get the hell for it from that crazy owner!

I apologized to the server for her owners behavior and told them that they have lost a regular customer from now on just because of their owners horrible behavior. I can never see anyone disrespecting their staff or anyone like this infront of me and I'll make sure none of my family members and friends ever visit this place and I...

I have always enjoyed the food from this restaurant, we place large orders for pick up at all family events. Tonight we actually went to sit down in the restaurant for once with just immediately family. I have never been so disappointed in a business our family has been supporting for so long. The service was awful server was very rude. When asking as we placed our order how long they thought it would be, seeing as we already waited 40 minutes just for them to come take our order. The young man advised us 20 to 30 minutes at the most. Another 40 minutes go by. No one asked if we needed anything, sorry for the delay we are very busy, it's going to take longer than we thought nothing. So we then stopped the server to ask her what's going on, we have been here an hour and 30 minutes And still don't even have drinks. Her reply in the rudest tone was " well everyone is waiting as you can clearly see. Best advice for this place, when you have great food but terrible service from your staff being hateful ( as you can see from all reviews ) get better staff ( female with glasses ) to serve your customers. The gentleman that my family normally deal with during the day time, when we pick up for large family events are always very nice and helpful. Due the business a favor, get ride of rude...
