I enjoyed my first time experience of visiting this place on a dinner date and birthday celebration with my family!

WHAT I LOVED: The things I loved about this place: It looks like an after 5 place inside,... elegant, nice, classy. Also, the complimentary valet parking was a plus. The staff was very kind and helpful! The chef seems to be a people person and actually came out to meet and greet us! My favorite foods were: (for starters) the wedged lettuce BLT salad with blue cheese, (for sides $12-$18 each) Crab fried rice, asparagus, truffled mac and cheese (very cheesy, very unique with crunchy bread-like crumbs)....and (for a main course) oh my goodness the Norwean Salmon dish ($40 served with carrots & spinach & topped with a drizzled glaze)! My favorite drink was the Gold(en) Hour ($7) (I do not drink alcohol so they were able to make this mock-style for me) our waitor added rasberries...a wonderful touch!! The drink had lime and pineapple flavors among others!! ...Ooh!....& that banana whatever it's called with cake that they give to the birthday guests, served with icecream was...YUM... the bomb!!! I would go back to order that right now!!!...The BLUE flames on the birthday dessert plate that didn't burn up anything but RUM was so AMAZING to see!!!... It revealed the words HAPPY BIRTHDAY as it burned! Their lady's restroom was very nice and clean and each stall was very private...very clean...very neat...looked nice...smelled nice! Live jazz band was playing in the restaurant!

WHAT I REGRETTED: If I could change anything about this place it would be: to be able to sit and enjoy actually watching the band play without having to go over by the bar! The birthday girl would have loved to see the live jazz band play, but prefers to sit at a table or in a booth instead of at the bar... The waiting while the waitor was busy, it just took too long to see his face again, so when we needed something we just watched and waited for a while, looking for him to come back... He was very sweet though and got us whatever we needed, it just took a while for him to return to the table if we needed something.

Also, I didn't realize that we never received the Au grauden potatoes we had ordered until after we got home. Not even sure if it was on the tab. I would have loved to try those. The filet mignon was crispy around the edges, I cannot stand a crispy edged well-done steak... Only a small number of restaurants have mastered this request for a moist and juicy well-done steak both inside and out. I was not 100% satisfied with this one. Once I cut off the edges the inside was good though! The texture of the spinach was perfect for me...just needed more flavor.

CONCLUSION: Aside from these things, this was an exciting first time experience for me, mainly due to the many positives that we experienced despite the negatives! And I would love to return to Eddie V's in the future for an even better experience! Food looked good, smelled good, and tasted good for the most part!...and it was served hot as desired! Each side order was shareable among 3-4 people! I would definitely go back!!!

(My apologies for the essay hahaha!...

For a planned nice evening out, was a lack luster experience that missed the mark. Made early reservation due to only options available. Arrived at time to find all but 2 tables open, still only options was high top in bar section. Ok they can lock and release how they like, but the entire place was empty. But of a shock given reservations made days prior. Server was very friendly, upbeat, knowledgeable, and observant to needs. She gave room to allow for us to enjoy our conversation and time, but was there when needed and items ready. Speed was decent as expected. Only one moment over the 2 hrs did I feel they forgot about my order. I had ordered a smoked old fashion, and unlike other drinks it took 15min. The disappointment here is sitting at tables over looking bar we could see the 2 bartenders not making anying. The steak was seasoned and cooked to the correct request, but overall quality of meat was lacking, expected as it is a seafood focus. The table sides were fantastic, lobster as expected. Overall food was as you would expect from the price of establishment. The issue and reason for the poor review is the expectation of a high end dining experience, and the environment / atmosphere. After min of being sat, we had extra guests arrive, nats... There were dozens of fruit flys traveling all over from the bar to tables around the establishment. Based on everything they had been there a while. Some young, some old, and an infestation. This types are not the one off bag of fruit, but are from breeding and reproducing in floor boards and drains from lack of cleaning and deep detail cleaning. Something I would not even expect at a fast food establishment much less fine dining. Both the wife and I had to have our meal cut short and forget dessert or anything else, after the wife had one fly up her nose and ruined the evening from there. $375 for dinner for 2, to have random visits from fruit flies all evening. This is 100% their negligence in deep cleaning and maintaining nightly and opening cleaning responsibilities. We did not ask for anything, just to pay and depart. At leaving I did ask for the mgr, she did arrive after a few minutes, Brooke did apologize, but the story was, I found the issue at opening, to we had a small problem and vendor is addressing, to I will close that area off, and more turns to story. Bottom line, it did not get that bad in a day, it is lack of cleaning and detail followup. Easy choice, will not recommend, will not be back. Too many other great options to spend on subpar over site of an establishment. Definitely not for a $150+ per person meal. Was a definite let down for looking for a father's day evening out to...

This was our first time visiting Eddie V's and our experience at the bar-top was amazing. Our server/bartender Paul was fabulous! Extremely knowledgeable, very quick with his drinks, very polite and personable, and truly presented himself like he cared about us and our experience. He was equally as great to the rest of his patrons as well. The other bartenders appeared to be just as great and we are looking forward to returning. Even the valet was wonderful (forget his name) and remembered to set the parking break thanks to Nissan's recent recall on 2021 Titans.

The calamari was WONDERFUL with the roasted cashews! It had a delicious glaze that complimented the entire dish perfectly. The shrimp cocktail was also amazing and didn't taste "fishy" at all. Great dipping sides for the shrimp including: horseradish and cocktail sauce. They have a good lobster bisque. Yes, just good, because they wasn't very much lobster and the bisque was a little thinner than I would prefer. We gave this feedback to very polite and personable manager who thanked us at the door and said she appreciated our feedback and would pass it along. She also told us we could ask for extra lobster in the bisque next time. There will definitely be a next time and we will definitely ask for extra lobster in our bisque.

My 12 oz filet was cooked to absolute PERFECT (Medium rare +) and the lobster tail I added was HUGE and also cooked to perfection. My wife raved about the scallops she had as well as the heirloom salad. She said the fresh mozzarella on the salad melted on her mouth and the dressing was perfect. My wife asked for some béarnaise sauce for my steak, after it arrived, (because I can never finish a whole steak by myself) and 2 different people arrived within a minute to make sure we were completely taken care of). Our sides of (plain) mashed potatoes and asparagus were also perfect. Some of the best asparagus we've ever had at a restaurant.

On a 10 point scale, I give Eddie V's a 9.8 simply because we were a little disappointed in the lobster bisque. It was still very tasty, just needs to have a LOT more lobster and needs to be a little thicker. Other than that constructive criticism, this place is amazingly great and we are so happy they are open now.

Make your reservations weeks in advance or take your chances at the open seating at the bar. Either way, you won't be disappointed!

Thank you Paul (our fabulous bartender) and the rest of the staff for making our date night perfect! We...

Eddie V's is a new height of fine dining in the DFW market. For our first visit we choose this fine restaurant to enjoy our wedding anniversary dinner and they did not disappoint! Reservations are necessary so I highly suggest to book online at least a day or two in advance more if you have a large party. If it is a special occasion please notate that at the time of booking and the restaurant will help embellish the occasion. When the hostess led us to our table it was laid out with a heart in red foil and a Happy Anniversary card from Eddie V's. I'm sure from what we saw everyone on staff here is a consumate professional and will make your evening special however I have to add special praise to (Sasha Kratochvil), this talented young lady was our server for the evening and we will be requesting her by name for any future engagements we book at this ultra special fine dining establishment. Her expertise and charm made this evening a truly special night we will never forget. "Thank you Sasha". I very strongly recommend Eddie V's, Their food and service where nothing short of amazing. For our appetizer we sampled the Crab cake and I can say without reservation it was the best I've ever had. The Lobster Bisque I give a very high top 3 rating meaning I'd have to directly compare the 3 best I've had right next to each other to declare a true winner. For my entrée I sampled the Scallops, magnificent buttery texture and perfectly cooked! Another top 3 rating. I added 2 Jumbo crab stuffed herbed shrimp and my wife had them for her entrée, again flavor to die for delicious totally on point. We also had a side of Lobster infused mashed potatoes, ( let me add) they took this simple dish worked thier Eddie V magic and turned the flavor into something amazing. For our Anniversary desert we went all the way with (Sasha's recommendations and well the pics below are worth another thousand words.) Also no less then 3 managers checked on us throughout the night and really made us feel at home. Thank you everyone for a magical evening. Hats off to the 3 ladys behind the bar and all the rest of the staff that helped elevated Eddie V's to our instant favorite list.
