A Texas Gem with Outstanding Hospitality!
From the moment I walked into the Sandman Signature Hotel, I felt right at home — even though I was miles away in Texas on a work trip. And the real star of this experience? LaToya! ✨ She checked me in with such kindness, warmth, and professionalism that I honestly started wondering if I had even left Canada! 🇨🇦😂
LaToya was a dream to deal with — knowledgeable, patient, quick, and efficient. Not only did she answer all my questions during my first night, but she also gave me some fantastic recommendations for must-visit spots in the area. She’s a true ambassador of exceptional customer service and someone who clearly knows how to turn a good experience into a great one. If you’re lucky enough to meet her, you’ll know exactly what I mean!
Now, let’s talk about the hotel itself — absolute comfort and style. 🙌 The lobby is modern and sleek, setting the tone for what’s to come. My room was incredibly spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything I could possibly need: comfy bedding, loads of towels, heat and AC options, and even two plush robes! (Love the little details! 💯) I also had a small kitchenette with an electric stove, microwave, kitchen sink, utensils, and tons of storage — super handy for longer stays or when you just want to feel at home. Plus, the work table made it easy to stay productive.
I was happy to take advantage of the heated pool and hot tub — the perfect way to unwind after a long day of meetings. There’s even a breakfast option available, which is great for those early starts. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the only thing missing was slippers. It’s not a dealbreaker, but having those on hand would have saved me from padding around in socks all evening. (Maybe next time? 😉)
Overall, this place is a winner, and I’d absolutely stay here again next time I’m in the area. Comfortable, clean, and full of thoughtful touches — what more could you ask for?
A huge shout-out again to LaToya for going above and beyond to make my stay extra memorable. People like her are what turn hotels into homes away from home. 🏨💙
See you next time, Sandman...
Read moreMy husband and I had stayed at this Sandman location in 2019, and it was a great experience. Staff was welcoming, room was very clean, and the location is fairly quiet and close to shopping and other things. This visit was not the same experience. Our check-in went well, and the person who checked us in was nice. No complaints. After arriving to our room, I was quickly disappointed. The more I looked, the more disappointed and uncomfortable I became. The sink shelf in the bathroom looked like it hadn't been dusted or wiped in months. When I went to wash my hands and unfolded the hand towel, there were two very long dark hairs on the towel. One of them had a burn mark on it, like a cigarette burn, and another woth a ripped up hem. The sliding mirror doors in the bedroom had smudges and fingerprints all over them. The duvet had stains on it. The doors on the other closet were completely off-track and broken when I went to find the iron. The ironing board is very short and had burn marks, rips, and stains. I had to clean something sticky off of the iron before I could use it. I also found drips on the toilet that I cleaned myswlf with lysol wipes. I cleaned the tub with lysol wipes, as well, and they came up brown when I was through. The sofa was brown and dingy looking. There were paint patches on the walls and doors, and the baseboards were stained or in disrepair- like this room had flooded or had water damage at some point. But even walking through the first floor to come and go, I noticed how dirty the floors were. You cannot claim to be a nice hotel and maintain it like it's a cheap motel. If I wanted that experience, I could've saved myself some money and booked the Red Roof Inn. In the mornings, housekeeping staff bangs on doors, talking or calling out loudly, and letting doors slam behind them. Unprofessional and bothersome to someone who may want to sleep in. I'm disappointed with what has happened to the Sandman, and I hope that you can get back on track. Your housekeeping and maintenance staff needs a refresh for sure. Regardless, I have learned my lesson and will not...
Read moreI stay here pretty much every year for my birthday since my first stay because, although it’s been about 5 years, I’m always still impressed! The staff never ceases to amaze me so this review is long overdue. I’ll try not to make it too long! -I have to reiterate the hospitality of the staff here. Over the years I’ve worked with different front desk team members and I must say the team is consistent. It’s like the Chick Fil A of hotel teams! -The hotel is always clean. I’ve stayed in different room types and have yet to have an issue. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood in the middle of two restaurants with two different vibes, but great food. Shark Club is if you’re into sports and maybe want a little turn up depending on the day (the wings are top notch & they’re opened late enough on weekends). Moxies is your family friendly, American style restaurant which I’ve visited for apps & drinks with friends. -Beds are comfy, linen is soft, walls aren’t thin. One could say not having a microwave in the rooms isn’t so great however they have a community one. If you travel frequently you know nicer hotels tend to not have a microwave.. but there is a fridge and every other amenity you’d look for. -They have robes! Plush ones. -They are located less than 15 mins from so many different things to do. My birthday itinerary always hits and I’m always exploring the area and getting to do new things without having to travel to busy downtown Dallas. The free parking they offer is a plus as well. -Lastly, even when I’ve stayed here and it wasn’t my birthday (bc I have) I’ve always been treated with something from the front desk.. on my very first stay (which was a bday) I was gifted a bottle of wine at check in and it felt genuine! I can’t remember everyone’s name I’ve worked with over the years, but today a pleasant guy names Jordan helped me with my accommodations for this year’s birthday and yet again… the consistency remains! This hotel is always the cherry on top for my birthday and gets the...
