MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes — Restaurant in Plano

Honestly I think it was the best 'burger joint' burger I've ever had. The service was very friendly at this location. The food was very fresh made to order. The fries were really good, sweet potato fries were good. The beef quality was very good. I said next time I will be ordering a more plain burger as the beef is good enough to stand on its own. Even the bun was higher quality. It was a seriously good burger. The only thing I was not impressed with was the price. Outrageous expensive! My son and I both got shakes with our combo, and my wife had just a burger. So 2 combos and a burger added up to 50 dollars! We asked the manager/owner if that was right. She assured us the prices were correct. Even at the nice restaurants it wouldn't cost that. I mean you'd have to go very upscale for those prices, then burgers probably wouldn't even be in the menu. The burgers were excellent, among the better I've had. But the atmosphere was just diner/cafeteria style. It was clean and kept. But in no way a place you'd expect $20 a plate. Even just the burger alone is $10. I told my wife, it was better than my old favorite place. So I'd love to say I'd come again. But honestly I'd have to say it would only be on special occasions. My experience was not negative at all. I'm just the type of person who has trouble justifying any restaurant that goes over 10 or even 15$ for me. They value proposition is always up to the individual. This one is a real stretch for me. If 'any' of their details would have been off(which they weren't) this would be a no for me based on price. If this was a nice atmosphere where you sit down and be served it would be an easier yes. I just don't know if they can be flawless every time, which I would have to demand at those prices. We were on vacation so I spent it. But I was so shocked when the girl said $50. I almost told my wife we would have to go somewhere else. We agree we would go there again. Cause it was so good. But it would have to be a special occasion. Which sounds silly cause it's just a little...

Delicious Burgers, Yummy Fries, and all very fresh tasting!

Now that I got the initial cheers out of the way I'll tell my story. I was out shopping with the wife and three kids. We were all getting hungry. I suggested we stop in for some fries at Mooyah. I had never eaten at Mooyah but had heard good things so we dropped in. The manager (or maybe franchise owner I think his name was Tanveer) suggested a large order of fries big enough to feed four. He was right, it was huge. It was fresh. And it was delicious. In chatting with Tanveer (I apologize if I'm misspelling his name) He mentioned that they cut their fries from fresh potatoes and make them fresh in house daily. To his credit I did see someone carrying around a big box of Idaho potatoes in the back when I went to visit the restroom(which on a side note was very clean). After eating through about half the bag my wife says we're going to need more food, so I go back to Tanveer he tells me that their beef is never frozen and I can choose from beef, turkey, or veggie burgers. I got a beef burger with the usual lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc. also had them add grilled onions and sauteed mushrooms. The wife and I both agreed it was at least as good as what we make at home. ( for reference what we make at home is superior to Chilis, Red Robin, Steak N Shake etc. and vastly superior to whoppers or big macs) So we eat this amazing burger that tastes incredibly fresh, after having delicious fries, in very friendly company, in a clean fun environment. They win on all levels.

I will definitely go back. My picky son loved his grilled cheese, and the kids asked me if they could go back almost as soon as we left.

I downloaded the MOOYAH App and ate at this location for the 1st time in September of 2024. I met Marci and several team members who work here. The staff has always been courteous, professional, efficient, focused, and friendly. They welcome every customer when they enter the restaurant. The kitchen area where food is prepared, cooked, and made ready for both in house consumption & to go orders is viewable to customers. You can watch how organized everyone is who works here. Very well trained, and managed! The service has always been quick. This is a different type of "fast food" restaurant. The quality of everything is exceptionally good. SEPTEMBER 30, 2025 UPDATE: I recently got a new phone and had to reinstall several of my apps. I talked with Marci about losing my SUMMER OF YUM CREDIT for a $10 Reward. No problem. She gave me a free "The MDC" Angus Burger to compensate for my loss. I had to have something with it so I ordered the Personal Sweet Fries. They were both delicious. I highly recommend this location. OCTOBER 27, 2025 UPDATE: Marci welcomed me, and took my order of a Mooyah Cheeseburger & Sweet Personal Fries. Juana cooked. I used my Fall Back Challenge 2025 (SEPT & OCT) to receive a $5 Reward. Marci gave me a 10% Senior Discount. Then she provided me with a sample of Hand-cut regular fries & ice cream. Very generous! Everything was delicious. Awesome customer service!
