absolutely fantastic. my husband, my brother-in-law, and i drove down to dallas for a day trip and this was where we landed on for lunch- we may have to make the 4.5 hour drive back just for this! (edit a few months later: we have and it’s just as good. we’ve started planning trips to texas revolving around coming here for lunch) the prices were so reasonable, the ramen was incredible, the bento box lunch specials were insane, and the service was fantastic. we could not have stopped anywhere better. the ramen was so flavorful and well-prepared and came hot! some places (at least where we live) it’s like they have it on a warmer, but here it was steaming! every topping was spot-on. the bento box lunch was also amazing! that’s what my husband and his brother got and they loved it! they got different rolls (heart attack, rattlesnake; fire ball, monkey brain) for theirs but we all tried one another’s food and every single thing we tried was delicious. the miso soup was genuinely the best miso soup any of us have ever had. (edit a few months later: i dream about this miso soup. we brought a friend last time we drove down and this was his intro to miso soup and i feel a little bad because nowhere else has miso soup as good as this place) and the wasabi was so creamy and high quality! not chalky like some places have! our waitress was so kind, we absolutely adored her! we loved this place and we could not recommend it...

Sure it's not Don Don poke but it's in the same space. I was skeptical at first when I saw the menu but the dishes we ordered were very good: scallops and udon noodles soup. It was tasty and exceeded expectations. Presentation was elegant! Service was solid! Decor is much more upscale. Looks like they specialize in crispy rice wedges: yummy and highly recommended!

12/8/23 came back again after about a year and this dish is still as good as the first time!! It came out hot and savory with the nice crunchy chewy rice wedges that really soak up the yakisoba sauce! In fact I’m surprised the cost hasn’t changed despite the pervasive inflation!

1/12/24 decided to try something different! Wasn’t particularly hungry but order Cajun edamame which was buttery, tender, with some noticeable spices. So tender some beans came out! The Seared French Kiss portions are humongous and delicious! Also had the plain Spicy Salmon rolls with added avocado no charge with eight large pieces. Wasn’t expecting such generous portions. House salad was a large bowl with ginger dressing which makes it easy to consume! And once again the hostess presented a complimentary crispy sushi roll with rolled cucumber! Despite being super packed in a Friday night the food came out in minutes. Charges were unexpectedly low based on the volume of food. Pleasantly surprised and...

Craving sushi — but nothing really compares to Japan’s fish market! In Tokyo 😉

We were in the mood for good sushi, and this place had high reviews, so I told my family, “Let’s give it a try!” It’s a small restaurant, and by the time we arrived around 8:00 PM (they close at 9:30 PM), more customers were already coming in. Ambiance: Nothing special — casual and simple. What we ordered: • Sashimi combo – It was pricey, but fresh.nice presentation • Rainbow roll – rice not the best • No-rice salmon roll – Instead of rice, it came wrapped around about an "inch "of crab roll. The crab was so overpowering I had to scrape it off — not what I expected. Ginger was not as fresh.

Since my husband doesn’t eat sushi, we ordered the Bulgogi platter for him. Small salad came with it . But being a Japanese restaurant, I now realize we shouldn’t have ordered a Korean dish. It didn’t feel authentic, and unfortunately, he didn’t enjoy it. He was starving, but had to settle for it. The beef was drenched in sauce, which also soaked the steamed rice that came with it. Since we spent too much they gave us a sampler of their house special some crunchy sushi . Final thoughts: Fresh sushi but not quite the wow factor I hoped for. Maybe stick to the Japanese items next time and skip the...
