Sal's Nashville Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Plano

Like everyone, I looked at the location and said, "I am going to try this place." The sit down area is clean, pretty basic, fast food ambiance. I looked at the MENU and bought a 'Chicken Zinger' sandwich + fries. When I got my order, the 5-star review started kicking in! The sandwich was EXCELLENT. I like spicy anyway! But the sandwich was incredible. The chicken breast was BIG. No, it was huge! I stuck out around the bun all the way around and was so PLUMP, QUALITY, ALL WHITE MEAT...cooked to perfection. You haven't had a chicken sandwich like it anywhere, no way. Sure, I initially thought, "Wow. $13.99 for the fries and drink combo? Kind of pricey." But when I got my order, I realized that I got my money's worth and more. The fries?! Wow. They were right there with the best fries I have EVER eaten! Can you imagine someone saying that? Who knows how many places I have had fries at in my life?! Those fries were HOT, CLEAN (you could tell they changed the grease regularly. The fries were spotless, zero brown or burn marks.) The fires had a light crust, and very light spicy taste. Wow... The fries were delicious.

So...all said and done?! Glad I chose to try Sal's Nashville Chicken at Coit & Spring Creek!! Of course, you wouldn't eat a giant, spicy friend chicken sandwich EVERY DAY! But I will definitely be back! I hope they make it as a small business. You won't replicate the experience at ANY of the more well-known fast food chicken places. No way. I am being kind with my rating. The last time I was here the store had a different layout. The chicken sandwich is completely different from the original recipe. The chicken breast is a lot smaller. The buffalo chicken sandwich is so much bigger at Chilis! Second order was the 2 piece and for an additional $4+ a SIDE of okra. $4 dollars for a side of okra is insane. Don't ask me how much more they charge for a side of French fries! PRO-TIP you can order Rickys hot chicken for less and it includes fries and drink. Everything here is a la cart. The reason this review is getting 3 stars is because my kids liked the French fries. They were very crunchy and had good seasoning. I ordered the 2 piece but they brought me 2 legs out and a thigh, thank god because the size of the chicken was more like Cornish hen. The chicken was deep fried and for someone who has had good fried chicken this was not top tier. I understand this place has 4+ rating but my fried chicken credentials are Ricky's Hot Chicken, Gus famous fried chicken, Mikes fried chicken. I hold them with high standards. This place could do better instead of tossing seasoning on the fried chicken they should consider having the chicken soaked in seasoning like real southern fried chicken. So my family and I finally stopped to Dine-In today. Glad we did! 2 words: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! 🤤 All of the Chicken is #Halal which is a huge plus and appreciated.🍗 I had the Tenders in Mild which were very flavorful, and moist. I can't handle too spicy. But they have 3 levels above this for the adventures and heat lovers. I also had their House dipping sauce along with Honey Mustard. Both we're very tasty. All sauces are homemade in house which is appreciated. My wife had a 4pc bone-in chicken which was crispy and seasoned well. She also had Cole slaw which she enjoyed. Fries were hot & crispy. We tried a couple of new menu items: Chicken Skewer over Rice which had a nice garnish of lettuce, tomato and purple onion. The chicken is super savory and delicious! This same chicken is used in their Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Also Wings that were very tasty! Finally we tried their Loaded Waffle: Nutella, Oreo, Chocolate Syrup, Ice cream: WOW!!!
