Ah, dear compatriots, allow me to regale you with a tale of aquatic mishaps that unfolded within the confines of Carpenter Park Recreation Facility. Picture, if you will, a glistening indoor pool—a haven of relaxation and respite, or so one would hope. Alas, our idyllic retreat was marred by the unwelcome presence of Toby—an insolent, rotund young lad whose unruly behavior left my sensitive and delicately feminine son in a state of utter distress. As a refined British immigrant, I sought to introduce my son to the refined art of leisurely swimming, where elegance and decorum were the watchwords of the day. Alas, our hopes were dashed as Toby, an embodiment of boorishness matched only by his considerable girth, emerged on the scene. His presence disrupted the tranquility like a misplaced marching band parading through a royal garden. My son, with his tender spirit and penchant for grace, recoiled at Toby's unruly antics. The lad's manners were as uncouth as a cowpoke in a ballroom, leaving my delicate son in a state of shock. Toby's lack of refinement, combined with his considerable heft, transformed the serene waters into a tempestuous sea of chaos and commotion.
Toby, with his complete disregard for propriety, unleashed a reign of aquatic anarchy upon the unsuspecting swimmers. His cannonball leaps sent shockwaves through the water, displacing more liquid than a sudden deluge in the Scottish Highlands. My son, like a trembling daisy in a storm, clung to me desperately, his delicate sensibilities tested to their limits.
But the zenith of absurdity occurred during an ill-fated attempt at synchronized swimming. My son and I, poised like swans on a serene lake, were interrupted by Toby's audacious intrusion. With each clumsy stroke, he shattered our harmonious routine, transforming it into a bewildering display of aquatic chaos that even a genius like Bill Nye would find perplexing.
Oh, the horror and absurdity of it all! The recreation facility, once hailed as a sanctuary of tranquility and refined amusement, had been reduced to a circus under Toby's unruly reign. My beloved son, his delicate, flowery soul in disarray, sought solace in the comforting embrace of afternoon tea and a well-curated playlist of classical music, far from the unruly splashes and ill-mannered shenanigans of a certain portly lad named Toby. In conclusion, my dear readers, approach this Texan aquatic establishment with caution, lest you befall the nautical havoc wreaked by a certain unruly lad named Toby.
For those of us who cherish the refined pursuits of swimming, where elegance and decorum reign supreme, it is best to seek solace in the timeless traditions of our British heritage. Amidst the gentle ripples of a picturesque pond or the elegant serenity of a grand Victorian bath, my cherished son and I have found respite from the aquatic turmoil inflicted upon us by the...
Read moreGreat place to exercise clean and good facility. Some of the staff are good and respectful.
I always come here to play some basketball and everything was going great. But, one day, while playing basket the manager (my guess she was having a bad day) rudely kicks me out of the facility because she said, (Im using her own words) "profanities," I was being loud but to say that she heard that and didn't even give me warning before hand, she never approached me to tell me that I was saying profanity. But also was the way she treated me in front of people, I am 31 years old and she treated me like a spoil bratt, in front of lots of people, strangers and friends. I demanded to ask for an explanation and everything she said was "leave or I call the cops." I wasn't even resisting or anything I was actually leaving but that's not the way to treat someone, let alone an adult. She does need some training on how to handle situations and honestly she did ruin what was a good day for me.
Also after I left my friend stayed playing basketball but not even 5 min passed and called me that they where complaining again that "they are being too loud." We have always played here. Come on! is a basketball game and people are playing happily without hurting anyone. Loud? Is basketball, since when you play any game quietly. I wish I had the camera to show, it did look like the youtube video of the cop getting a complain from a house because kids where playing basketball loudly.
I would understand that even if I was coursing she comes and quietly gives me a warning or something but what she did and the way she degraded talked to me was really bad. I hope her nothing but the best but I just hope she can treat me with respect because I have never done anything, let alone anything illigal to her or the facility.
Please, I would strongly recomend that she really treats people on a more humane way, and even if someone did something wrong make it private between her and the wrongdoing person, specially if they are wailing to cooperate and everything they ask was just a more detailed explanation on why are they being kicked out.
I never fought or even insulted anybody in all the years I have been here, and when all this happened everyone in the court was surprised on why I was...
Read moreHorrible Managing Staff work at this place. They do not hold any staff member accountable for their abusive and rude behavior (Sandy in particular). Beware of this Assistant Manager she has bright orange died hair (you can't miss her). Sandy is also a compulsive liar. Sandy definately believes that she is the "Boss" over the pickleball courts--and says she "plays" pickleball. I highly doubt that and you will know why when you meet her! But this incident occured when her Manager (the real Boss) was out on medical leave - Coffey!
Today Sandy got a pass from Manager Coffey however! Despite the fact that I filed a formal complaint over 2 weeks ago with the acting Manager taking the place of Coffey during her leave. Manager Coffey returned this week and after her pathethic review of the situation she did nothing and believed Sandy's lies. instead of my word being validated and the word of the witnesses that saw Sandy's disgusting behavior unfold on the pickleball courts. So then, Manager Coffey, instructed Sandy to call me today. Sandy acted as if nothing had transpired with her behavior. When I asked Sandy was she calling to apologize she said, "No, and she didn't need to either." Sandy is just the same disgusting immature individual that I encountered before. I then later found out that Manager Coffecy didn't instruct her to apologize when she called me. I asked Coffey, "why then did you have her call me when I specifically told you she had better not ever approach me again--ever!" What kind of Manager instructs staff to call anyone if not make things right? I now know that the "apples don't fall to far from the tree!" The next time Sandy (the Liar) decides to get in my face and be combative with me or anyone on the pickleball courts, I will just start filming and call the police since the Manager Coffey doesn't hold staff accountable. Maybe then Sandy...
