Fun mix of pub, sports bar and late night DJ crowd with some pretty good food. Have always had good service although the few times I've been there later on Fridays or Saturdays I notice it can get bogged down a bit.
The large pizzas are really delicious but are meant to be shared - they're too big to solo although you can get a box for leftovers. The smaller pizzas are not as exceptional but still good. The "Stallion", a beef sandwich is very good although not really "Italian Beef" in taste. The french fries are very crisp and flavorful.
Competent wings are available in a number of flavorings. I find the hummus tasty but too thick and grainy. The mini calzones are delicious but I find three are quite filling - good item to share. The menu has been revamped and I miss the lettuce wraps that have been deleted - chicken with a vinegrette dressing that made a good combination.
They have lots of specials including ½-priced pizza on Mondays.
The hours of operation vary during the year so you need to check, especially for opening time. This is part of the Harder group that operates a bunch of bars in the area (including Ringo's right next door). The Group has a double-decker London-style bus that can be...
Read moreEdit for their response: that’s great you found my card but I cancelled it, so it’s trash at this point. It would have been nice for some sort of problem solving skills to be utilized the night of. Maybe you could have asked for my name and phone number and said you would give me a call in the morning if you find it once the lights are on. Again mistakes are cool, just try to rectify them instead of acting like I was inconveniencing you by asking where my card was.
I handed the bartender my card, she ran it, and handed back my receipt with no card. I asked where it was and she had no idea. Apparently it had disappeared in the 10 seconds of processing my transaction. accidents happen, but this situation did not make sense. To make it worse, my boyfriend (sober all night) didn’t get his card back either so this mistake happened twice in one night. The bartenders acted like there was nothing they could do and sent the original girl home who had lost both cards before we could even talk to her. One of the men behind the bar tried to tell us that they had no record of us buying drinks while we showed him our transactions on our bank app. Cancelling cards is a pain and being treated like we are in the wrong...
Read moreThe karaoke DJ, Shoji, is friggen phenomenal and you should absolutely seek him out if you're ever in the mood for karaoke whenever he's playing at.
Unrelated point: The service at this specific place by the establishment, however, has been a bit lackluster lately. Absolutely unqualified bartenders, with usually one decent one on the clock, but you can't choose who makes your drink because the bad ones swarm like flies to block you from doing that.
Tonight was the worst though. A fingertip width of alcohol in a long island? That was an obvious test after the two drinks we were given prior, and this was just the twisting of the knife.
I hope the shape up a bit, otherwise my friend will be going here alone from the following time on.
Update to reply:
Lie all you want, but there were 5 liquors poured and she was going for the filler nozzle when I stopped. Feel free to check the cameras.
Irrelevant issue though, I won't be back. Extreme disservice doesn't merit any patrons. Regardless, people will either frequent you less after getting the same treatment, or you'll fix your problems to prove things wrong, and either outcome...
