Had an extremely disappointing visit tonight. The service was poor, the people were rude, cold, distant and just unfriendly. All 3 of our treats were sitting there for at least 2 customers/cars. They were all mess when we got them. My son's blizzard was melted on top. And he said he could literally count on one hand the # of cheesecake pieces he got. Said it was 80% Graham crackers crumbs with very little cheesecake pieces. My husband's sundae was so melted that when he took the top off, the melted ice cream totally spilled out of the container/dish and on to his suede coat and my 2 day old brand new leather seat. And my small twist ice cream cone with cherry dip was an absolute train wreck. My ice cream was oozing out of the cherry dip and down the sides of the cone. The ice cream itself looked more like a chocolate chip vs a DQ ice cream cone. The first layer was completely over the cone edges, it was so flat and fat. The next layer was this little dibble that then formed the DQ twirl. And it was leaning about 45° to boot. We no sooner got 5-6 minutes away and my ice cream fell off of the cone and on to my lap, phone and leather seats. So not very happy at all. Plus, they gave us now extra Napkins or our receipt either. We usually always can count on this kind of treatment and service at the 16th Street store in Dubuque, which is why we make the trek up 2 Platteville's DQ. The trip up there takes us 25 minutes one way vs 10 minutes to the 16th Street location. So was very disappointed and upset to have all this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave had many experiences both good and bad but today kind of really irritated me. The son wanted a blizzard so we decided to come down to DQ. They have a new blizzard advertised so me and the wife order that we get told they don't have the ingredients to make it. Weird to not have the ingredients for a new blizzard but whatever we ordered a chocolate brownie extremely blizzard. Get that eat the whole thing and find that the whole thing has absolutely no pieces of brownies in it. Not impressed with this place what so ever and will more then likely avoid in the future.
Edit to the original review- since DQ likes to use a bland response for all there bad reviews I'm gonna also add that they decided to do a training matrix with a new hire in the middle of the dining area along with taking her tax information and other personal info around the customers. When setting the lady up with a laptop they chose a table next to a elderly woman with a walker and proceeded to tell her to watch the cord while she got up. Once the gentleman escorting her to DQ made a comment about moving so they weren't eating in there office the trainer said I guess we can move to the other side of the dining area. Avoid this DQ as I've seen many bad reviews and only continue to hear...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAyanna J was the person who took our order, we had to repeat a small dove blizzard 4 times, we went to the window due to her not being able to hear us (we were practically out the window at the speaker yelling it) when we got to the window we AGAIN asked for the dove blizzard small she again said she couldnt hear my fiance. The drive thru worker very snotty said "we don't have dove". I got a Recces one instead. When my fiance paid he said "thank you" she said nothing and rudely handed his card back to him with a half crumpled recipes and turned away. The manager said "don't be rude" not sure to my fiance or her. My fiance did say to me "how can she not understand what i said" also the manager was on his phone showing this staff member stuff on his phone. Which is unprofessional. The drive thru staff member needs a serous attitude adjustment and retraining on customer service ethics. Very disappointed in her and the way she acted. If I decide to visit Platville again I will not...
