Iâve eaten at this Pizza Hut hundreds of times over the years, and this review isnât written out of maliceâitâs written out of concern for the team and disappointment in the management. First off, the front-of-house staff are doing the best they can. My server today was Jamesâan excellent, respectful college student whoâs served us before. He was attentive and professional, even when our chicken alfredo came out half full. I joked that the back-of-house needed to do their job better, and he took it in stride, offering to make it right. Heâs one of the only servers I consistently tip, and I even offered him a job at our company because I see how hard he works in a toxic environment, and thatâs the real problem: the environment, specifically the general managerâCrystal Reed. Not five minutes after my comment to James, Crystal began screaming from the kitchenâloud, aggressive, and disruptive. It wasnât the first time. Her voice is recognizable from multiple past encounters, including when sheâs been blatantly rude to me on the phone. Itâs become routineâif you dine in, expect to hear a âKaren-levelâ outburst from the kitchen every 10 minutes. Today wasnât even the worst. On at least seven different visits, Iâve heard a woman in the back loudly say things like âI hate white men.â Same voice every time. Hate speech like that has no place in any workplace, and the fact that itâs repeatedly tolerated is disturbing. Nothing has been done about it, and honestly, nothing probably will be unless corporate steps in.I used to blame the staff. Now, itâs obvious the high turnover and low morale are managementâs fault. Iâve seen nearly 30 delivery drivers come and go since April. I thought they were unreliableâturns out they were just escaping a hostile workplace.Dining room staff like Kelly (or KathyâIâm not sure of her exact name) used to be upbeat, but now she just looks exhausted and drained, like the lifeâs been sucked out of her. Iâve watched her grow from a college student to a full-time employee, and each time I see her she looks more defeated. I canât blame her. The entire front-of-house team would rather clean the same table for 20 minutes than be near their boss.If you eat here, I recommend coming on a Thursday or Saturdayâthose seem to be the only days the energy is bearable. Sundays, however, are chaos.I hope someone with real authority reads this and investigates Crystal Reedâs behavior, because this place has gone completely downhill, and itâs not because of the staffâitâs because of...
Read moreI really love this place and the serviceâtwo servers in particular stand out: a tall blonde woman and the gentleman who served us today. Theyâve always been attentive and friendly, and today was no exception. However, during our visit, we experienced something unexpected and frankly uncomfortable. From the dining area, I heard what sounded like a full-blown meltdown from an adult employee in the backâobjects being thrown, loud yelling, and repeated use of vulgar language. Thankfully, my kids were distracted by their screens and didnât notice, but it was intense enough that the server immediately came over and apologized for the behavior. While the server handled it professionally and I appreciate their quick response, it was disappointing to witness such a lack of control behind the scenes. It gave the impression that just about anyone can be hired, including those who behave like adult toddlers. This place is still a favorite, but after today, weâll probably stick to takeout to avoid any future...
Read moreThere was nothing good about it. We went in for lunch and there was only one other couple there. It took over 10 minutes for the waiter to come with drinks, also it took another 10 minutes after I got my meal for my girlfriend to get hers. We could hear staff swearing out loud in the back our entire visit. It took so long for our waiter to come to check on us another staff member came and served us instead. When our bill was given to us, we sat for 10 minutes for her to return to collect it, which didn't happen. I even checked the front for someone so we could just pay and leave but there was not one person there. after after I went back to the table we saw her sitting down eating with other staff and my girlfriend was so upset that she walked up and handed the bill to her, said "thanks"and walked away. I no longer want to dine there again and I would recommend that management start making better hiring decisions. This was the worst experience I have ever had at...
