In retrospect I wish we had gone to the other Mexican restaurant down the street. It started off well. I ordered a virgin mango margarita and my friend ordered a giant lime margarita. They both came and were orange in color. Mine was delicious and hers was good but also tasted like mango not lime. We asked the waiter and he confirmed it was limon (lime) but I suspect he was just really busy and didn't want to change it. Fine. She wasn't really in the mood for mango but didn't mind it.
Then the food came and she had asked for green sauce only on her burritos but instead got only red sauce (our other friend who was from Guatemala had requested it speaking Spanish so there was no language issue the waiter had simply mixed it up since he did not write anything down). He did fix that. My food tasted good (not great but good), however at the end of the meal my stomach felt awful. I thought perhaps I just eaten too much or drank too much slushee since my virgin margarita was huge though non alcoholic. I ended up throwing up in the bathroom. 20 minutes later our other friend also felt ill and threw up. It may have been a coincidence but I am not sure. Our friend who got the revised green sauce on her...
Read moreThis restaurant is not authentic. It’s American wanna be Mexican food. You can’t fool a Mexican with this garbage food. This is the first time I’ve ever written a review on a restaurant, I just have to save you your money. I ordered chicken tacos on corn tortillas, they gave me hard shell tacos, really? My Chile rellenos tasted funny, they used some American white cheese. They are supposed to use Mexican cheese, any will do. The rice was heated in the microwave and therefore it was crispy and hard on top. Choking hazard for my kids. The steak tacos were flavorless. The guacamole was not freshly made, it came from a prepackaged guacamole company that stays green even after you’ve left it out for days. My group left their plates half eaten. Our Mexican taste buds could not let us finish this food. The only thing that was edible were the beans, chips and salsa, and the drinks. Lastly, the only authentic thing there was the bad smell the girls bathroom emitted. This is truly authentic in Mexico when you have to use the out house at your family’s ranch. I’ll never go back there again, good thing I live in another state where it is easy to find true authentic...
Read moreTo the absentee owner: your decision to charge me $2 to use a credit card at your establishment is the reason I will never be back. I realize this practice is on the increase, that doesn't make it right. Either accept credit cards or don't, but charging a customer to eat at your establishment and use a payment method that you have available is just wrong. Just like having the lights on and the water running and staff, the form of payment you accept is a cost of doing business. Either build it into the cost of your product or don't accept that form of payment. I'll assume your desire to collect cash is not to avoid paying your fair share of taxes, and if credit card sales are such a burdensome expense, it should be passed along in the price of your product. The reason a business accepts credit card payment is it should increase the number of customers interested in patronizing that business. Luring people in and then charging them to use it is offensive. Best of luck, and I feel sorry for other patrons who get "mugged" for entering...
