Monkey Bar — Restaurant in Pleasant Hills

We've been there a lot before this day. Waitress forgot two of our meals. Another waitress finally brought the missing meals after the rest of party had already finished. We ordered additional drinks. After waiting 20 minutes waitress comes over and makes comment "you probably thought I forgot about you?"..as she was just checking on table...we return her comment with..."yes, you did. We order drinks 20 min. ago." She then did get our drinks. Having finished the drinks, we ordered 1 more round. After 30 minutes of not receiving our drinks, we flagged down another server and ask for our bill. He promptly hands us a check with total sum of $8.49. I could have just paid that and walked out, but being an honest person, I finally got the attention of server number 2 and asked for the correct check. She said, "oh you got 2 rounds!". I told her we had meals and drinks and the second round we ordered from her, she never served....she insisted that the rest of my family paid when they left....they had not! I was paying the bill....Finally she check out what I told and brings me correct check for $131.56 After paying my bill, my wife and daughter inlaw both told me, she had informed them that because of the initial screw up with their meals, they'd take the amount off our bill....That didn't happen!...I was just happy to pay my bill with a much smaller tip and get out. This might be the last visit to the monkey bar?...and if this is the way the servers work, the business is or will be losing lots of...

Casual joint, friendly staff and for the most part friendly customers . Stopped in for a drink and really wasn’t watching the football game , customer asked why I wasn’t explained I’m not much of a fan anymore of the sport and the customer wanted to fight . The bar staff for the most part got the guy under control and I simply paid my bill , tipped the bartender and left. The guy who got Confrontational with in the bar followed me out to my vehicle and started hassling me they’re only good thing at that time was a police officer was driving by and I flagged him down. Can’t really say if it was the bars fault for over serving this individual or the customer that was wasted upon entering the bar but either way you should not of been serving anymore and I was glad that the police department intervened and dealt with...

The Monkey Bar isn't all it used to be. Came here with a party of 10, called days ahead to give a head's up, which was actually for 15-18 people. Can't imagine if everyone made it, how the visit would have gone. And this was my niece's 21st birthday dinner, her choosing, to boot. Our drinks came out the color of ginger ale while we were all ordering coke. As we all asked for replacements a pitcher was brought over, but was the same issue. There's no syrup. The Food was over cooked and undercooked. Orders were made incorrectly. Every single one of us at the party, was sick for 2 days after this visit. Our server was nice, attentive, but overwhelmed, understandably. She was not at fault at all. May be a good place to have the bar experience, but will not go back to have the dining...
