Very busy early afternoon stop. We where told seat ourselves and waitress was quick to ask for drink order. The menu was short with diverse choices. Seafood to hamburgers. We asked for recommendations and where guided to the seafood choices. Simple for us to choose the crab Quesadilla and the lobster roll. Sides where kettle chips and coleslaw. The atmosphere was sports theme oriented. Very friendly staff and appears to be a very popular place. The bartender was accommodating to TV channel requests. The food took alittle while to get. The presentation was impressive. The lobster roll was big pieces of perfectly prepared meat wrapped in Roman lettuce sitting on a hotdogs bun. The melted butter sauce had a slight spice that gave a good depth of flavor but the meat was so tender and moist that it didn't need the butter sauce. The kettle chips where very fresh and didn't leave a greasyness on your fingers.the crab Quesadilla was served with fresh guacamole and sour cream which so complimented a perfect dish. The flavors where perfectly combined for a unique take on a Mexican theme dish. The coleslaw was heavy on the red onions almost over powering the overall dish. Slaw lacked a creamy texture and was on the dry side. The coleslaw was the only weak component of a perfectly prepared meal. Value wish these choices where a great pick. The seafood was prepared with perfection. We really enjoyed the friendly neighborhood type of atmosphere and very happy and attentive staff. We would highly recommend and will return to try...
Read moreReview for Sama at Edison’s Gastropub
I had the pleasure of dining at Sama during my recent visit to Edison’s Gastropub, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience. The ambiance of Edison’s, with its cozy yet vibrant atmosphere, set the perfect stage for an evening of culinary delight. But what truly stood out was the meal we had at Sama.
From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and friendly, with the staff making sure we felt welcome and comfortable. Sama’s menu is a beautiful blend of innovative dishes and classic flavors, offering something for every palate. I opted for their signature dish (a must-try!), and it was a revelation. The flavors were bold yet balanced, with a creative twist that elevated the dish beyond my expectations.
The presentation was impeccable as well, with each plate carefully plated and visually striking. What impressed me most was the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients that shone through in every bite. Paired with a carefully curated drink menu, our meal felt like a true culinary experience.
Overall, Sama at Edison’s Gastropub offers a perfect blend of great food, welcoming service, and a lively atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I highly recommend giving it a try. It’s a place that promises not just a meal, but an experience...
Read moreI’ve been to Eddison’s twice since they opened, and honestly—both visits were just… meh. Not terrible, not great—just comfortably in the “has potential” zone.
The atmosphere is one of the better parts: cool vibe and live music adding a nice touch. Sitting on the patio is nice, but heads up—if the sun is blazing, it can get pretty miserable. I’d love to see them add some shades on the side of the patio to fix that.
Drinks were a mixed bag. The first visit? Loved my drinks and the deals. The second time? Disappointed. My mule tasted like it was made with Sprite instead of ginger beer, and the margarita had some strange off flavors—not the creative kind, just… off.
Now, the food has been mostly average. I tried tacos and a salad before, and honestly, the flavors just weren’t there. But I have to give credit where it’s due—the French onion soup was some of the best I’ve ever had. Rich, flavorful, and clearly done right. If they could bring that level of flavor to the rest of the menu, they’d be on to something.
Overall, Eddison’s has potential. The atmosphere and that killer soup show promise. With a little more consistency and flavor in the food and drinks, they could really shine. I want to see them succeed, but for now, there are better places to hit up for a solid meal or...
