This is the best Chinese American* food I've ever had, hands down, no contest. Every dish is cooked fresh to order and you can taste the love and passion in every bite. The quality is unmatched: crispy, perfectly fried entrees and flavors that truly stand out. While the price might seem high at first, the portions are incredibly generous and the protein-to-price ratio is simply unbeatable. I've had the kung pao chicken and orange chicken last me for four meals before! So when is it a good time to eat here? Lunch service comes with smaller entrees, but includes a choice of fried, brown, or white rice, plus spring rolls. At dinner, the entrees are enormous and we've frequently been treated to free crab rangoons and spring rolls! But trust me: dining in is the way to go. There’s always plenty of seating, and the experience of having your food fried just minutes before it reaches your table is unforgettable. Is it worth eating in? Because nothing beats the freshness. That freshly fried crunch for their orange chicken or honey walnut prawns, which disappears within minutes, is on an entirely different level and something I haven't tasted anywhere else. Everything on the menu is fantastic, but the honey walnut prawnsa re truly to die for. My go-to order is the jiajiang mien (5th picture, the black bean paste with noodles), honey walnut prawns (3rd picture), and kung pao chicken. The fried rice with chicken is also a great safe option and the Chinese chicken salad is a great option for someone more calorie conscious. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Pleasanton and it would be a tragedy to lose it! They deserve our support, so come out and try it while you still can! * Note that I say it's Chinese American. While the name seems to suggest Sichuan food, the items on the menu are closer to Panda Express than what you'd see at a Hai Di Lao or Din Tai Fung. I haven't seen a single Szechuan pepper in any of the food 😅, but who cares, the food tastes incredible and that's what really matters!

What a wonderful find!! Thanks Reddit for leading me here on a whim while searching for good JJM's in bay area. Ok, it was so good, like when u watch ppl in kdrama slurp down their JJM and u thinking that looks absolutely delicious, well it was that!!! There's alot of ingredients in the saucy bowl, a generous amount of protein mixed in with crunchiness of onions, great balance of flavors. Yummm Portion is big, had to take leftovers to go. Staff is friendly and sociable, restroom super clean. Lol I will be back to try their other dishes for sure! Thanks! *They have been around since 1987 😱💪

Veg chow mein had no flavor. Wife couldn't eat it. I had to soak it in soy sauce to make it bearable. Broccoli beef was worse with a nasty aftertaste. Szechuan fish was tough like sweet n sour chicken with pepper. Not worth $10 per item. You'd have to pay me to go back. Kinda feel sorry for the homeless person who finds what I threw away.

Looked at the menu online and placed called to place an order noted as below and with the prices advertised online next to the item. I went to pickup and they wanted over 100 dollars for the food that totalled only about 50-60 according to their men . They told me they dont have a menu online. I pulled it up and showed them their menu on google and they said someone else put that there... so I walked out and ordered food at Andy and Yus - same food - 80 buck . Less than these guy . This place is absolutely ridiculous and very unprofessional. False advertising - AVOID.

LARGE WONTON SOUP $7.95 per menu online BEEF CHOW MEIN x2 $11.90 (5.95x2) SWEET AND SOUR PORK $7.95 GENERAL'S CHICKEN $8.95 BEEF AND BROCCOLI $8.50 SZCHEUAN PRAWNS $10.95 TOTAL ONLINE MENU PRICE PRE TAX $56.20
