Ike's Love & Sandwiches — Restaurant in Pleasanton

I would give a zero if I could. I placed an online order, and after it failed to go through the first time, I submitted it again. As a result, I was charged twice and to make matters worse,. When I got to the store to pick it up, there was no order for me. They said they would remake it, so I went to the Safeway next door for about 20 minutes and did some shopping. When I came back, I asked if my order was ready and I was told that it never got made and that the workers were confused. I waited another 20 minutes while they remade the order and talked to the manager, Destiny, about a refund for the double charge. She was unable to authorize a refund and gave me the number to “the manager”, named Katya. I called katya, who said she was actually the manager for a different store and couldn’t help me. But, she said that she would contact the regional manager, and he would reach out to me. No one reached out to me. They finally got my order remade, but it was on the wrong bread and had the wrong ingredients. I will never go back to the store again, I wasted two hours trying to get three sandwiches and left there with incorrect sandwiches and $74 worth of charges on my credit card that nobody seems to be able to refund. I will be reporting them to the headquarters and to anyone else I can get a hold of. Please please please do not go to the store. They steal your money and waste your time. It shouldn’t be...

I am so happy to have an Ike's in Pleasanton, closer to home!

We love that they use Mariposa bakery gluten free baguettes for the sandwiches. Local and tasty. I almost always get the Hollywould's SF Cheesesteak sandwich with extra sauce. Plus more sauce on the side for dipping, as GF bread can be drier than wheat bread and I like lots of sauce. The sauce is delicious! Salty with a tiny bit of heat which I love. I also like to eat my sandwich at home heated up and add mayo to make it more melty.

The day I first tried the Pleasanton location, they were unfortunately out of steak but said I could still get the sandwich and sun the meat out. Perfect because the other combos didn't sound good that day. I opted for halal chicken thinking that would go well with the mushrooms and provolone. Well I don't actually know as they gave me pastrami instead. It was delicious and a great steak alternative. Too bad my tummy didn't like it. I don't do well on lunch meat that's why I get steak or chicken.

To sum it up, our gluten free sandwiches were just as delicious as always. I like this location for convenience and the sandwich amounts (as not all are consistent with the amount of meat) and will definitely be returning. I will just try to remember to check my sandwich before leaving the...

I have been a fan of Ike's since the original days in the Castro. After moving out of the city, I was so excited to have one in walking distance. Although they started off strong during their opening, they have gradually slide down in quality.

1. Its hard to find the sandwich you want in the app. I LOVE the "going home for thanksgiving" but for the longest time, I could only find the "fallin for Ike's" which is the vegan version. I do see this is available now, but i typically repeat my orders is "order again"
2. Their attention to detail from the online orders is variable. I always order the version I can find in the app with a note, "not vegan, reg turkey please", and order double meat so that hopefully it would highlight the note. It has a 50/50 chance at being regular meat vs the vegan version. The last time I ordered, it was both the vegan turkey and it was the standard portion despite paying the $3 more for double.
3. The wait times really vary. Sometimes the store seems very understaffed, with only one person visible from the counter. I can see how this could greatly effect the quality if they get more than a few orders at a time.
