Today, my 2 year old son and I went tothis establishment to get lunch. I ordered the turkey club with fries and I got him a single pancake with aside of eggs and cheese. Our order came right away the pancakes were cooked nicely and the eggs. The bread on the turkey club crunchy but it was still good. We were enjoying our meal and watching the football game because my son is in football right now when all the sudden I saw something black on my lettuce. I picked it off thinking that it might have been an herb or something but after examining it closely kind of look like a bug or a small tangled up piece of hair. I took out my camera and took a close up shot and zoomed in and it definitely looked more like a bug. So I immediately stopped eating and I took my 2-year-olds plate away which you can imagine caused really big emotions as he was enjoying his meal. When I informed the gentleman who took my order at the register who I assume was the owner he was very nonchalant about the whole situation and tried to offer me a refund for the turkey club instead of my entire order. He tried to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the other meal and acted like he didn't want to give me my full refund. I understand things happen it could very well just been a bug that was in the lettuce and did not get washed out properly. But to not even given an apology or any kind of sincere reaction about the matter just shows me that this establishment is not using best practices. I will never...
Read moreEven though this spot is sort of just a basic burger place, I'm giving it all the starts because I was pleasantly impressed. I checked out the menu beforehand online, so when I arrived I already had an idea of what to order. I mention this because they have a quite robust menu that includes not only American staples such as burgers, fries, and hot dogs, but also serve breakfast, and Mexican food as well. This made things a bit more difficult to choose because I'm a huge fan of Mexican food.
The establishment was clean and tidy; service counter, soda fountain and dining area were all spotless. The man behind the counter was friendly and welcomed us warmly. We ordered two Pleasanton burgers, a corn dog, fries and zucchini, and took a seat.
It wasn't long before he presented our food, all fresh and piping hot off the grill. My burger was fantastic. It was juicy and the cheese was quality, well melted, and complemented the burger well. My zucchini was of generous proportion, cut into thick wedges and served with a side of ranch. My husband ate his food in joyful silence.
Wonderful food. Wonderful experience. Thank you, we will be back to try...
Read moreI'll preface this by saying I used to LOVE this place. The owner knows who we are and what we order. The last experience, however, left a bad taste in our mouth and this long-time customer is never coming back.
I ordered two beef teriyaki plates to go and specified that I wanted the non-spicy version. (Due to medical issues, I absolutely cannot have anything close to spicy or else I get really sick). When we went to eat it several hours later during dinnertime, we found that it was spicy. There were red chili flakes everywhere and I couldn't stomach it. Neither could my spouse. I called him to see if we could go back and have them re-make them. He spent the entire conversation telling us that's just how their teriyaki sauce is, even though we literally had it the week before and it was NOT like that. He figures out we are the ones who go there often and still he says he can't do anything for us. A $33 meal down the drain for us and two frequent customers lost for him. It's a shame because we used to...
