Title: Exceptional Culinary Delight at The Kebab Shop, Pleasanton
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Kebab Shop in Pleasanton, California, and I'm excited to share this hidden gem with you. This isn't just your typical kebab shop; it's a symphony of tastes and textures that will transport your palate to the Mediterranean.
I opted for the Kebab Plate, a customizable entree that allows diners to craft their own perfect meal. My combination of falafel, kale and quinoa salad, and tabouli salad was a delight for the senses.
The falafel was superb, delicately spiced and fried to perfection, crispy on the outside while maintaining a fluffy, tender interior that's pure comfort food. The kale and quinoa salad offered a delightful contrast, with its fresh, crisp kale leaves, perfectly cooked quinoa, and tangy, light dressing. It was a great accompaniment that added a healthy yet tasty dimension to the plate.
The tabouli salad, a classic Mediterranean dish, was the star of the show. Fresh, finely chopped parsley, ripe tomatoes, and fluffy bulgur, all tossed in a zesty lemon dressing, provided an explosion of flavors that elevated the whole dining experience.
Adding to the overall positive experience, The Kebab Shop operates a rewarding loyalty program. The system allows you to collect points with every purchase, which can then be redeemed for free items. On this visit, I cashed in some of my points for a side of fries, which were a delectable bonus. The fries were crisp, well-seasoned, and were the perfect complement to my kebab plate.
Beyond the outstanding food, the service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the shop.
All in all, The Kebab Shop in Pleasanton delivers an exceptional dining experience that marries authentic Mediterranean flavors with a modern, health-conscious approach to food. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and drop by The Kebab Shop. Your taste buds will thank...

There is a reason someone might want to order the seemingly biggest thing on the menu "San Diego Wrap" ($15.75 + $1.50 lamb beef meat = $17.25). I work Uber/Lyft and I find myself so busy here in the Bay area I often have little/no time to stop to eat, so when I do stop I have 1 large meal.
$2.75 for a fountain drink made my meal $20.40 for 1 person.
It seems in this wrap they charge you more, not to add more into the wrap, but just to substitute what's in there with a little bit more variety of things, but overall I'd assume it's probably the same Amt of food in this wrap as probably the base wrap. I'm not certain though, this is my first time here, and it will be my last visit solely based on this fact.
The size is probably a bit smaller than a taco wagon burrito, which you can get for half the price, so I will just be sticking to taco wagons.
But sure, besides exorbitant prices, quality was nice, tomatoes super ripe and fresh, and they have 3 sauces you can get as much as you like of.
If I had to put a reasonable Bay area price tag on what I just had in the wrap and fountain drink, I'd say max $16. They're about 22% higher than they should be. Sacramento/valley prices would probably be closer to $12 for both the wrap and the drink, but this isn't the valley, so $16 should be reasonable.
But if price isn't a factor for you, then sure, give it a go. Probably not the most memorable choice, but it is...
Read moreEdit update (2021): I changed my rating to a lower star for a few reasons: (1) my online order was wrong a few times that I had to drive back and (2) there was a dead bug in our food! Though we like their food, we sadly have stopped coming here.
I like ordering from the Kebab Shop for the family. It's simple and overall healthy (assuming you don't get the fries). Due to the pandemic, we've been ordering the family pack selection. This location has good, friendly service. We do lots of takeout here. (Due to the pandemic, side selections have been a bit limited, so we've been getting the greek salad. However, we used to always get the couscous.) I also like how you can accumulate loyalty points for future discounts. The sauces are delicious. (I wish we can buy bottles of it. I've always been a fan of the Kebab Shop even when I was living in San Diego. I was super happy they opened one in Pleasanton and around the Bay Area. I wish they brought back their carrots but that...
