Wife and I have been coming here for a long time now and we have always enjoyed it but ever since they changed ownership they have really stepped it up a notch. Service was always good but the quality and the creativity on the menu has improved quite a bit. I just had the waffle sandwich and it was amazing. We have gone here two weekends in a row now. The food is good, the mimosas are cheap and huge, and the service is great. It is very much a small town vibe and since it is the small town I grew up in it is nice to see all the local highschool sports teams celebrated on the walls and the menu items are named after the local highschool coaches. Sitting on the patio for breakfast taking in a beautiful summer morning in downtown Pleasanton is quite relaxing. Their prices have gone up quite a bit but I suppose inflation is hitting everyone. The quality is fantastic though so at least it's good value. Just tried the tres leches french toast and it was absolutely amazing.

We have been wanting to go to this place ever since we moved to Pleasanton four years back. And finally made it to this place during our morning bike ride earlier today. It was well worth coming to this place. This place is very popular with the locals and has a good community kind of vibe. The food was well prepared and served everything we ordered. Perhaps one of best tasting chicken waffles we had in the past. The chicken was not over fried and very well balanced. All the staff members are super nice and will make you feel welcoming. In spite of being a busy place, they didn’t rush us with anything. It is worth your time and money to come to this place. Would highly recommend it.

Excellent! We put ourselves on a waiting list for brunch at a different restaurant. While waiting, we strolled down the block and discovered Vic’s and decided to eat here instead. Great choice! We split the tres leches strawberry and banana French toast and the Coach Underwood crab cake Benedict. The French toast was perfect- so good in fact, that we didn’t realize until the end that we never used the butter and syrup 😂. Not too sweet, plenty of fruit on top. Crab cakes were great- just added a dash of salt and pepper. Loved the pics covering the walls of local high school sports teams- great community support. So satisfied!!

Had breakfast with my family here. Laura, the server did not write down our order. She decided to impress us with her memory. We anticipated that the order might be messed up and it was. Now we need to tell her that there are mistakes, so we are uncomfortable. The potatoes were wrong on mine (hash browns instead of country). Not a big deal, but instead of just bringing me the correct potatoes, she took away my entire plate. Now my family is eating without me. Why would you take all of my food away? Just bring me the new potatoes. Isn't this common sense and polite? There is no time that not writing down an order ever works out well. Even when everything is correct, the customer is worried that something might be wrong. Customers also will change their order to make it simpler, when they see the server without a pen. We don't want to substitute ham for bacon in the omelette, because that might be too much to remember. Other restaurants in the area (Bill's Cafe), use electronic ordering. The order goes directly to the kitchen. It's faster and errors are reduced. Can somebody please get...

VICS Place is bigger than it is from the outside..I appreciate how the tables are well spaced apart from one another. We went there this President's day holiday and the place was somewhat busy but we were seated immediately. We chose to sit inside because we were being chased outside by the BEES! 😆 that was our cue to be inside diners. We were asked what we would like to drink and then our waiter introduced himself and brought our menus. David was very friendly, nice and was able to answer a few questions about some of the food. I liked that they were constantly dropping by asking if we needed anything and filling our drinks. Once the food came out it did not disappoint..it was yummy and flavorful..We had the Coach Kwan which was the omelet and my daughter had the Coach Toscano. Laura came by and introduced herself. She's very sweet and told us about the Brunch that occurs every 3rd Sunday of each month with mimosas 😋I'll end this with saying go to VICS.. you'll leave full, happy and with a to go box if you don't...
