The lady, dog and I were just on a little jaunt through downtown - figured we might as well get some drinks to drown those monday blues. But with so many places closed on Mondays (rightfully so, since they're open all weekend) I was lost in a sea of closed businesses then there was "Neighborhood" - a beacon of food of beverage on this most manic monday. They had a nice selection of beer on tap as well as a happy hour! It was meant to be! Grabbed a pilsner, a guava cider and I even went for the steak sandwich and I was not disappointed! That Chimichurri sauce was fire ! Throw in some tots and guac and it's a party! Service was stellar! Super attentive and informative! - and it was a super chill vibe - I'd definitely come back again! I was full 3/4 of the way through, but ate all of it because it was too tasty not to. The hubby had a burger and fries and enjoyed every moment of his, too. Friendly place with patrons of all ages and friendly local customers (we're from San Jose, but fit right in) Great selection of beers (Maui Waui for me!) and large selection of spirits to accompany the delicious dinner, too. Appetizers also available. Best part is the neighborhood friendliness. Even though we live in SJ, we'll be back soon! Kudos to...
Read moreNice little sports bar that amazingly wasn't crowded on a Saturday afternoon. They accommodated us as we wanted to watch baseball on a big college football day.
Food was good, although the margherita pizza wasn't the best, thanks to the unripe (to the point of being crunchy) tomatoes on top of it. We also shared a buffalo chicken salad that was really good.
The beer selection consists of a very few domestic bottles plus a rotating selection of about 10 beers on tap. We had a summer ale (good) and a watermelon wheat (meh). Alcohol levels in the beers ranged from about 4% to 8.5%.
Nice place, nice staff....
