We had a special anniversary reservation and were excited to try the place. When we arrived, a lady at our table (having been asked to vacate) was having a rant about being seated ten mins late. She was very rude to staff, but as we weren't seated til five mins late, and then we weren't given menus for ten minutes we could sort of understand her sentiment. We asked a (very helpful) member of staff about one of the plates, and then ordered as he was there and we were aware our slot was ticking on.

The food and wines were lovely, really well paired. It made us laugh that the chorizo was paired with the same wine as the vegan cheese but like magic it went very well with both. You can't have a vegetarian cheese with the vegan plate and they don't do a vegetarian plate but the vegan cheese was actually very good.

We ordered a sparkling flight and the deserts with wine and they took so long we were asked to move to a really tight seat at the bar.

Still 4* as the food, wine and experience is clearly amazing and the staff when you can catch them are really knowledgeable. However, the service is wonky as people who arrived after us were seated, given menus and served a lot faster than us so could enjoy their whole meal without being moved.

The restaurant is also small and therefore loud, a woman with a very squally voice literally monologued for their whole slot which overlapped ours. There was a small break when a saint of a woman asked her to quieten down but for the whole of the rest of the meal we could clearly hear her reviews of airfryers and charity auctions. It was a shame that staff didn't intervene as she was clearly disturbing other customers.

It seems like it's maybe slightly more popular than they can handle, but understandably so as while it was a bit stressful it was a...

Went to Pairing for Mother's day, had a reservation for 1pm. After being seating and given menus our waiter did not return for at least 35 minutes. We placed our order for appetizers and wine and inquired about entrees, were informed that 4 items of the 8 entrees on the menu were already sold out.

We told the waiter that we needed more time to decide since our initial decision were the sold out items. The waiter leaves and does not come back for another 30 minutes. We had to yell across the restaurant to get her to come to our table. We finally order.

After 45 minutes our win and appetizers still have no arrived. So far we have been at this restaurant for 1 hour and 15 minutes and still no wine or apps. At this point we were tempted to leave, but being mothers day we figured it would be tough to get a table anywhere else without a reservation..so we endured.

After 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting our wine and appetizers finally arrive. our entrees come out 30 minutes later, for a grand total of wait time of 2 hours and 5 minutes.

The food was mediocre, the flat bread pizza was okay and the cheeseburger was overcooked and under seasoned.

Look elsewhere if you want a pleasant...

The other reviewers can't be serious. Pairings is a great place to get food poisoning. Never paid so much for food so horrible. Staff is obnoxious. Stay away. Edit: In reply to the Pairings account reply: Not sure what in God's name you are on about, but as a customer I have the right to give my review, and your insults are frankly sad. "I don't normally respond" but your place is a mess, and I was surprised to see that such a high rating was advertised! I'm not alone. I see you have a good number of bad reviews. There is a pattern in the grievances. I will say the building itself is beautiful and the location is probably responsible for the business you get. But that's the only good thing I can say. Maybe if you monitored your actual product as you did your online account (a response in just an hour! Nothing better to do?) your establishment wouldn't be so...

I went here for drinks on a weekend afternoon as soon as they opened. It was empty so they let us pick any table. I ordered the rose flight. They had run out of the 3rd selection and let me choose what I wanted to replace it with, but I let them add whatever they recommended. I ended up with a pinot that was pretty good. I ordered several appetizers, the shrimp, the crostini trio, and the bacon wrapped dates. All were incredibly amazing and I would order them all again. The only negative was part of the service. There were probably 2 other tables full at the most the entire time I was there, which was about 2 hours, and the food still took a ridiculously long time and the waitress stayed scarce.

Saw this place and the reviews so we decided to try it. Never tried Austrian food. Ordered recommendations by the waiter. Restaurant did everything correctly. Service was better than average and the place was clean and orderly. It may have been our palette and it is very new to Austrian cuisine. Instead of tasting different flavors in every bite, it was more of a stew or covered with sauce. Would it be our go to, probably not but it deserves another chance. Since it was our first time to experience Austrian food, we also need to expand our worldly palettes. Total for everything was ~$250 (1 soup, 1 appetizer, 4 main dish, no dessert, 20% tip, no wine, 1 soda)

We were so excited to try this new Austrian restaurant! Very unique to Pleasanton. My friends had the salmon, and the Beef Hungarian goulash. I'm getting the delicious goulash next time! I had the eggs Benedict. It had a little kick to the Austrian sauce and was so yummy! My husband had the fish tar tar and loved it. We also shared the Brie and apricot egg rolls! I will crave those forever! It was so nice to sit outside. They have a full bar inside and the decor is very beautiful and classy. We talked with the owner and the manager. We've met them before and are very friendly.
