Well, the staff was nice I guess. Drove 2 miles out of my way. I won't be back. Not too keen on the set up. Spent 5 mins with the lady who was supposed to take my order trying to tell her how to spell my name, even though I told her it doesn't matter how it's spelled because I just wanted to order a sandwich to go. She kept on trying to get it right until I told her good God just put down any name, so I gave her a fake name just so she would take my order. She kept going on and on about my name so much she didn't even hear my order. Was then hustled down to the other end to I guess pay???? I wasn't sure because it just said pick up, but then I heard some one yelling over the crowd the fake name I gave and screaming out my order. After he rang me up I realized that the price couldn't be right so I went back and asked to make sure she had rang everything in, and sure enough she had only rang in my sandwich and fry. He did offer to ring me up for a drink or give me a glass of water. Apparently they ask your name so they can address you like you are an old friend? As they insisted on saying my name in every sentence and question they spoke to me. Food came out at a reasonable rate, but as I was waiting I could see the floor in the kitchen was FILTHY with dirty baskets that had fallen from some where under the counter. The floor was littered with papers and food. The final draw was they dropped the bag with my food in it (right in front of me) right onto that filthy disgusting floor, picked it up, said oh thank God it didn't spill and handed it right to me. I did eat it, as he was right, none of the food touched the floor and I hadn't eaten all day, but seriously? Offer to make a new sandwich. You know, for over $13 just for a sandwich and fry the food should be amazing, instead it's sub par, I asked for no banana peppers and so they put nothing but a few mushrooms and onions on the sandwich. And the $4 fries were some how both burned and soggy. Well, another place I was curious about and...
Read moreUntil recently, I enjoyed the food and didn't mind the service at this particular Penn Station. With that being said, my last visit was absolutely awful. The entire staff failed to be welcoming and friendly throughout my entire dining experience. Somehow the cashiers failed to understand my desire when I ordered two lemonades, one for myself and one for my girlfriend.... I ended up with three lemonades on my bill. I wouldn't have even received a single lemonade without reminding this incompetent staff that I ordered two beverages (TWO, not THREE....). Now here's the kicker, and the reason I won't be back: One individual employee was behaving like a child. He was wearing a nike tshirt and his hair made him look kinda like a more whack version of Macklemore (I can't believe that's even possible). We all work hard, and when I come into your store I don't want to listen to you complain about thinking you were going to be able to leave at 8pm. Whacklemore was throwing a tantrum, loud and carelessly, four feet away from the customers trying to order or enjoy their meals... It's sad; Whacklemore needs to be fired. I believe that the store's management is also doing a wretched job considering the overall lack of enthusiasm or friendliness of the entire staff... Well, I hope nobody else wastes their time or money there, though I can't wait to see what business moves in after this godforsaken Penn Station...
Read moreI cannot believe the experience I had here... I've been a long time fan of Penn station. I get the Italian sub with fries. I went with my wife today and ordered the usual, she gets the same thing without mayo or bell peppers. We took our order to go after we realized they were calling ours as they wrote "Guy" for the name. At home we sat down to eat and found mayo on and peppers on both sandwiches, even though my wife's had a ticket that said "-mayo, - b peppers". We called the manager who apologized and said she would remake it. We drove back to the store and had them make it again. We over heard the manager tell the kid making the sandwich "You better not put peppers and mayo on this one again." The kid just laughed as she walked away. He then says "order for Guy" as if he didn't know we were the ones waiting. The manager took the order and gave it to us and apologized for the kid calling me "Guy" and acting rude. We finally got home to open our sandwiches again and guess what... extra b peppers on my wife's sandwich again. We called the manager again to let her know what her employee was doing and she apologized and offered to give us free food. We declined the offer as we will not be going . It's a shame that this kid disrespects his customers and his manager. I doubt he'll be there long... $30 for 2 sandwiches and fries, 2 hours wait, and 0...
