Service was awesome accomodating our little changes in our orders! Soup came & it was hot & really delicious! We had time to enjoy the soup before our main orders came to the table. City Chicken was good & so was the fresh kielbasa! I was disappointed that stuffed cabbage is not a regular item on the menu & only served twice a week in their daily special. Of course we came on the wrong day! We had just been in Livonia at another polish restaurant & we all agreed 3 brother's food was much better. Only issue was when using my credit card when asked about leaving a tip the cashier asked what amount I wanted to leave & she wrote the tip amount in & I wasn't given the chance to write the tip amount in or write in the total amount myself. Cashier did not fill in the total amount & the tip line could have been easily changed to a larger amount. Sorry in this day & age this made me feel very uncomfortable. Everywhere elsewhere as the customer the establishment gives you the receipt to sign the tip line & you total up the amount yourself. Asking me out loud in front of other employees & customers the amount of my tip was embarrassing because I usually leave a cash tip & then I would have to answer zero & have everyone in ear shot thinking I was a cheapskate including the friends I was with! Truly it's nobody's business the amount of tip I leave especially when no one knows what my food bill was. Giving 5 dollars tip on a 10 dollar bill is not the same as giving a 5 dollar tip on a 60 dollar food bill. So if this is your business policy I would suggest you change it. The customer should be the only one to write in on the tip line & fill in the total amount of the bill. So everything else was great up till...
Read moreWas there to pick up a Christmas Dinner for my whole family 15 minutes before 2pm because the web site said very boldly that they close promptly at 2pm. Well let's just say I was promptly told they're behind, I ask how long, was told an hour (seriously an hour) at witch point I turn around and said I would be back. To make the best of this extremely unexpected situation because I live in Dearborn over a half hour away and really didn't want to go home and then back. So we went into downtown Plymouth to wast some time (down town Plymouth was very nice walk around with all the xmass decerations) went back to pick up food and again ran into very disorganized unprofessional staff trying to deal with a very poorly organized catering pick up system. The only reason I give them a two star is there cooks are wonderful they make excellent food but the extremely long wait and terrible attitude of their staff that was handling it made for extemly bad experience. If any of those folks were working for me I would have fired on the spot and dealt with it on my own because at least then I try to satisfy my customers who come from all over Metro to have a wonderfully cooked meal.( oh just a hint make calls to those orders that are behind and tell them the new time that there order will ready). Sorry to say you've lost a customer and I hope that the many many others that were also having the same service that I was do the same. Some advice don't take more catering orders than you're capable of handling and hire a properly trained waitstaff to deal with those people one's without adatudes. My suggestion to anybody looking to go there stay there and eat in you probably will have a better experience at least I know the...
Read moreMy friend and I lived near this place years ago, and thought we'd pay a visit. I still don't live far, but I forgot about it until my friend mentioned it. The 3 stars are all for the food. While it was lukewarm and I failed to mention it (I don't like sending food back unless it is REALLY messed up in some way), we were very hungry and it was delicious. City chicken was very tender, good sausage, love the fried pierogi, and I like how they do their cabbage.
Otherwise, the rest of the experience was OK if you like having a semi-crabby, semi-impatient server from the start when she seated us, all the way through ordering and the meal. Also overheard her conversation with the table behinds us crabbing about one thing or another going on in her life.
My friend and I both ordered Polish combos. I was asked if I want soup, as if it comes with the meal. I thought I missed something in the menu. I HATE when servers do that. Better wording may be, "Do you want to ADD soup (or whatever)?" if item isn't already included.
Typically at Polish restaurants, you get a bread basket. I didn't think about it until later after we left, when I realized usually I like to dip bread into the city chicken gravy. Not a huge deal, but I felt our server was annoyed with us for whatever reason. Either she didn't feel like/"forgot" to give us bread, or they don't give bread with dinners.
Either way, there are definitely some other great places in the area to pick up a good plate of Polish food with accompanying good service. Three Brothers seems typically busy and I'm quite sure they have their regulars, so they won't miss much if I avoid it...
