Take out Sunday am. Frickles, two greek salads, one with grilled chicken, one with fried, and chicken tenders. Tenders were awesomely delicious. The fried side was nice and tender and warm. The grilled was very dry and hard. We had to shred it to make it less chewy. The grilled portion was about 2 times more than the fried. Our order was early at 11:30 am. I think the chicken was not grilled to order, maybe in the fridge from the day before, they might have felt bad and gave us extra, see pics. Even take out should be warm and moist and soft. Frickles, $9.99 for 13 pickles fried. I know prices are high everywhere but this,... sometimes, I feel take out is not the same portions or quality as dining in. Greek salad olives were black olives from a can, they should switch to authentic greek olives. Tomotoes were roasted and tasty, a nice difference, cucumbers mia. Overall, it was a decent meal, but I need it to be better. I will give it another try,

Labor Day, very busy. Beautiful day and they have a deck so we asked to be seated outside by the mill. Perfect spot! Group of 4, we were on somewhat of a schedule but no rush. We had to drive back to Maine but we have budgeted ourselves extra time, since we chose the closest place! We waited over 30 mins for our initial drinks. The food arrived in appropriate time, ordered at the same time as our drinks. $10 side of kraft Mac and cheese, though... We eat, about 65/70 mins has passed. Another 35 mins pass after we had asked for our boxes and the check to come. The young man who served us was very flustered, serving people inside and outside. Food was decent but on top of the service and drink prices, I expect more. I spent $140, without tip!

Kudos to the Gillis family for taking over a historical location that needed love and care and giving it more than a breath of life. The building looks lively now. The food is not the same as the last business. The Food here is fresh. The Food is Fantastically curated into one menu. The copper topped bar is like nowhere else. This is Plymouth’s new top sports bar. Gillis tavern has a 140” television wall with another 14 television around the premise. Want to be taken care of tonight? Look no further. Gillis Tavern deserves this 5 star review.

Super cute with great holiday decorations but the food was just ok at prices that warrent a better quality. I've never had a $10 stuffie...and this one was sadly the worst I've ever had - bland with no hint of clam juice, clams, or quohogs...just damp warm breading. We left it in the shell. The rest was ok...not great...but ok. Their jerk seasoning was decent.

As mentioned...VERY cute building and holiday decorations...but it also needs to be noted that virtually every glass surface was dirty and hadn'tbeen cleaned in days...windows, mirrors, etc...covered in streaks and fingerprints.

Please know...cost is not ever an issue for us if we enjoy our experience...but this place made me want to love it and left me disappointed. We won't be back i don't think. 😕 The building deserves to be better represented. What an amazing atmosphere... and the potential for a phenomenal experience is there for the making...just...

We had our small family wedding reception here last weekend in the backroom. Worked with the manager Mike to reserve the space and he made it easy and nice. We had all the guest order directly off the menu and everyone really liked their selections. The piece of fish on the fish/chips was huge, and nice and crunchy. Others had burgers which they raved about. The clam chowder was loaded with clams, and the chicken pot pie was tasty. All the dishes were delicious. We did start with wings Buffalo/teriyaki and lobster mac and cheese bites, which were yummy. Our server Madeline was AWESOME!!! being right on top of everything, making sure we always had food and drinks. She rocked it taking care of our group. Thank you for a great...
