A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!! The website indicated the museum and giftshop were open. We drove 1 hr round trip to be told only the gift shop was open. When we told the lady in the gift shop the website said it was open her response was sort of an "Oh, well" then she said she was not a computer person and had not gotten around to updating. Also, when we looked through the windows, the museum was stuffed with boxes. It was used as storage for the gift shop. How sad a use for a 380 year old building. As an aside, the woman did not even apologize for the inconvenience, nor could she give us an opening date. This group just uses the museum as a come on to get people into the gift shop. The house should be maintained by a more responsible preservation...

Guess I’ll have to...
