We made reservations and arrived a few minutes early, the were able to seat us within 10 minutes. The hostess was very pleasant. We sat and the waitress came over and apologized for the wait.. it was extremely busy, a wait was to be expected.. we ordered a drink and appetizers, she did not ask for our dinner, I commented how nice it was not to be rushed…. Our waitress brought our drinks and never came back. The young people helping the servers brought our appetizers , then cleaned up. Our server was waiting on the tables around us. 1 hour and 15 minutes later I asked one of the staff to see if our server could come over and take our order..,I tried to get her attention but no luck. We were told when she had a minute she would come over..another 15 minutes went by… we finally just asked for the check and left. This was not the fault of the restaurant … when I explained the situation to the hostess, she was horrified and wanted to try to make it better, but at that point it was just too late, but I did appreciate the effort. I completely understand that they were busy and probably understaffed . She could’ve just apologized because she obviously forgot about us but instead she acted like nothing was wrong with a bit of an attitude like we were being annoying for asking her...

If you want real Italian food DO NOT go here. It was one of the worse restaurants I have eaten at. It was our wedding anniversary and I wanted to go somewhere nice, yeah right! As soon as we walked in, it smelled horrible, like old smelly cheese. We were seated right away, needed to wait 10 minutes for our waiter. He was apologetic since it was extremely busy. Appetizer: scallops w/ asparagus. The scallops were over cooked and rubbery. Asparagus not even cooked. It was definitely microwaved to heat the food… rating: 00 My dinner: chicken saltimbocca.🤢🤮. Another microwaved dish. A flat piece of chicken with one piece of American cheese and prosciutto in a bland ,I think it was Marsala sauce. Rating00000 Husband: steak with risotto 🤢🤮. The steak was covered in a thick brown sauce, topped with 2 shrimp. The steak was all gristle and of course it was over cooked. The risotto, not sure how to explain this. It was like it was left over in a pot over night, dropped on the floor and then heated back up. Rating:0000000. Basically the only good thing about our meal was the bread and wine. We were so disappointed we left right away and we were looking forward to eating here. No wonder why they keep the lighting down, so you can’t see what’s in...

Cannot comment on food atmosphere or service because we received none of those things. We decided to dine at Strega last night because it had been a while since we had eaten there and we were in the mood for some good Italian. When we dine out we always sit at the bar. Knowing how busy it gets in there and how small the bar is we arrived at 4:27p.m. We entered and the bar was completely full, (both sides), and people were already served drinks. I was a bit confused because hours posted on line and on the door state they open at 4:30. I checked their clock on the wall it said 4:27 and asked the hostess if the opened at 4:30. She confirmed they did, I commented that I was confused if they opened at 4:30 how could the bar be completely full at 4:27? She shrugged and offered us a seat in the alcove. I declined because just like the other reviewer sitting in the alcove next to the wait station and computer is not enjoyable. We were Very disappointed to discover that it seems they open at 4:30 to the general public but must have different hours for the 10plus people that clearly arrived before that (they were already served drink!!!) So I guess if you want a bar seat at Strega you better be there at 4pm and maybe need the double secret password to get...

We ate here for the first time Wednesday night. The place is very nice. We sat at the window and watched it snow a bit. Not too bad for the night before Thanksgiving. We started with the meatball appetizer and the antipasto for 4. The meatballs melted in your mouth and the sauce was delicious. The antipasto had prosciutto, salami, roasted red peppers, asparagus and mozzarella cheese. 2 of us had the veal which was tender and delicious. The chicken parm was just as good and the mahi mahi came with baby red roasted potatoes which was very good as well. The server was attentive as it wasn't too too busy for a night before Thanksgiving. Would certainly recommend.

Really good, and for a reasonable price too. Went here for Ándrea’s special birthday dinner. Dinner started with an antipasto with prosciutto de Parma which was excellent. Ándrea had the breaded veal and I had the BRACIOLETINA DI VITELLO, that was near to the way my grandmother made it. Mushrooms were creamy and flavorful. We shared a whole BOTTLE of a great Prosecco, shared dessert, with coffee and with the tip we were still under $150 (yes that is a lot of money but worth every penny for a special dinner). Service was wonderful and the place as spectacular with a lot of charm. We will be back. We did go back for New Year’s Eve 2018. Exceptional again!

This place is does not serve authentic Italian. In fact, it’s some of the worst food I’ve paid for. The “Rigatoni Bolognese” was hunks of carrot, dried beef, and over cooked pasta coated in an orange mystery sludge. Truly, disgusting. I would have sent it back, but I had already waited a half an hour for it, and the server, although very pleasant, was largely absent. Please understand- there is no cream in Carbonara, nor is Canadian bacon a substitute for guanciale. But, perhaps most un-Italian thing about this place is that they ran out of bread. Two stars, for the patio and the wine.
