Speedwell Tavern — Restaurant in Plymouth

Highly disappointed with the out come of our visit. Our waitress was friendly but mostly absent. The tavern was not very busy so it was frustrating to say the least. She did have a new hire “shadowing” her, so I could understand taking a tad longer to explain protocol but our party of 4 felt neglected for the entire meal. We ordered very simple mixed drinks, all tasted sub par and not to mention took almost 10 minutes to arrive at our table. We ordered spinach dip, fried pickles, and the sunken potato chips. The fried pickles were good, spinach dip was alright. As for the sunken potato chips, they were a soggy mess. The few chips that weren’t smothered in toppings were alright but over all we weren’t very impressed. We waited a little bit for the waitress to come by after the runner had dropped off our food because we needed plates for everyone in our party. We eventually began to eat and it’s a good thing we did because our waitress never even passed by us again. We needed refills on drinks, napkins and plates. This is the second time we have been to sit in the restaurant and have had horrible service. We were sitting right in the open and the waitresses continued to walk by for 10+ minutes without even saying anything to us or providing menus. I had to ask a waitress for menus. Drinks came quickly this time around. Waitress was not engaged. Everyone around us was waiting for a long time for food and looked upset. The restaurant was not busy. We were trying to be patient but it was taking 45 minutes for food... we ended up taking our food to go because it was brutal. I am so disappointed because the food is really good but this is the second time having bad service in regards to the waitress and length of time we waited for our food.

Walked in at 9:05. They ID'ed us than we sat at a table. The waitress came to our table and let us know they stopped serving food at 9 then gave us a menu with drinks and food. Then she never came back to our table after passing us many times and pretty much ignoring us. I finally got up and asked her if we can order drinks from her. She told me no and I had to go to the bar to order them

2 two other groups of people came in and sat down at tables when we were waiting. No one from the restaurant came to them at all. If it wasn't for me going to their tables and letting them know they weren't serving food and they had to go up to the bar to order drinks they would probably still be there waiting.
