I'd like to start this off by saying that I've only gotten carry out from here so I cannot speak on anything beyond that.
That being said, having run out of ideas for dinner one evening my wife suggested we get pizza from a place we had yet to order from and this place was first on the list. I read the name, seen a few of the reviews and immediately agreed. I would much rather give my business to an independently run small local business when possible, and that is exactly what we decided to do.
The employees here are friendly, professional, and efficient. Everything was hot, ready and correct when we arrived to pick it up. Which is more than I can expect at a myriad of corporate chain pizza places.
Another highlight of this place is the affordability. It's accurately priced at a point where you feel like there is some value to be had and you're not just lining the pockets of some shareholders for some mediocre pie. It also feels good as a customer to be able to support a local small business that has been serving the community for quite some time.
Beyond that, not only is the food affordable, it's also quite good. For me it hits somewhere in between whatever corporate chain you can think of (being at the bottom), and one of those traditional Italian style slice shops you find in big cities like NYC (being at the top). For me that is perfectly fine. Honestly there are so many varieties of pizza out in the world, there is literally room for everyone to get their piece of the pie (literally and metaphorically).
At the end of the day I couldn't be more pleased with our experience here and it makes me even more happy that we decided to ditch the big guys and go small. I honestly cannot wait until it's pizza night and we order from here again so I can try something else on the menu.
If you're looking for a small local Mom & Pop style pizza place that serves up value and plain old good pizza, this is your place if you're in the Plymouth area. I think they put it best themselves when they said they're a "no-frills joint serving round or square pizzas plus wings, salads, subs & barbecue."
I couldn't agree...
Read moreWe go out to eat a lot... especially to Main Street Pizza. We collected 10 coupons and therefore had a free large pizza as a reward. (Mind you, 1 visit = 1 coupon.) I called at 8:30pm to place a delivery order. I even asked them if it was too late to place an order. They said no it was fine. I tried to pay with a credit card over the phone so I could tip, but the guy rudely replied with "your bill is $3... you don't have cash instead?" FYI I've worked in restaurants and hospitality for 10 years... that's not how you talk to a customer. I actually had cash so I told him I could just pay when they got here.
I ordered the pizza and a few cans of pop. Was told it would be here in 30 minutes. Guy shows up 45 minutes later... mind you our total bill was $3. WE TIPPED HIM $5!!! He handed us the box as if nothing was wrong. Got to the kitchen and this is the pizza we got. What blows my mind is that it's not a mess... if it was accidentally dropped, the pizza would have been everywhere. It looks like they purposely shoved the pizza in the box so that it was ruined... because they were angry that we ordered so late with a $3 bill. How petty and childish this is.
SO DISAPPOINTED. WILL NOT BE BACK. WE HAVE SUPPORTED MAIN STREET FOR OVER 2 YEARS. VERY SAD TO SEE YOUR EMPLOYEES WORKING AND TREATING...
Read moreUsed to like the pizza but recently had a delivery guy deliver to the wrong house, then manager and delivery driver argued with me about it. Person who took the pizza even wrote in a 4 dollar tip on the reciept.
Finally got my order but with no breadsticks or anything to apologize. Plenty of other pizza places within the area, I don't need to deal with these people again.
UPDATE 9/12/2016: Got a coupon in the mail for $5 to use on my next purchase to apologize, however the message included for me was not reassuring.
"Who would have ever thought someone would accept an order that was not theirs. Almost anyone would have just said to the delivery person, you have the wrong address"
So Main St wont even take responsibility for their driver not reading the address right. How is this supposed to make me feel confident this wont happen again? Especially when I'm entrusting them with my credit card number and some random kid can put a tip on my card that I didn't authorize.
And $5? Really? I appreciate the apology and that you are trying to do the right thing, but why would I order from you again to use it when I don't trust you to deliver it to the right place?
I'm lowering my score to a single star. Even if the pizza was alright, I'm never ordering from...
