Plymouth District Library is one of the best public libraries in the area. Seeing as libraries are some of the few (and last) places you can exist in society without the expectation of spending money, I treasure my city's library, and the taxes I pay are worth it. There are a variety of educational opportunities, books, media, workshops, crafting events...you name it, there is probably a program for it at PDL. I have used the resources available to plan low-cost day trips, craft, take courses for professional growth, help my kids to learn / take advantage of fun events, and of course, read. The main floor has an adult and teen sections. Lots of fiction and non fiction books, even mangas. They also have study areas. I saw groups doing tutorials and review. They also have a lot of board games for entertainment. Cd areas for music. Copier machines.

Read moreThe Plymouth District Library has a large parking lot, ample handicap parking, and access to a staff elevator for those with mobility issues who can't navigate the front stairs or park far from the pedestrian ramp.
The large 3-story facility looks new and has a huge, comfortable lobby. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And even though I was a visitor, I felt totally welcome.
