Palate Neighborhood Bistro is the geolocked iteration of their famous food truck, Palate Street Bistro, that is usually found near Jim Dandy Brewing. Coming here is a unique experience. To me, it feels like meeting a friend at their grandparents' house. You might miss it a few times, and once you find it, the driveway - complete with parking lines - might be full enough to encourage parking on the street. The comparison thins as you enter through commercial glass doors and a sleek wooden bar appears where the dining room table should be. Rustic indoor/outdoor seating replaces everything else. A few steps down from one dining area to another retains a homey feel, recalling the same transition from a home's living area to its den, then outside to a shaded patio. Instead of grandma and grandpa, you get helpful serving staff who are just as kind and attentive. The atmosphere can be calm or lively. Every dish we have tried has been excellent. Even our kids love the food!! Personally, I had trouble managing my pasta with the cuboid fork handle, so I was grateful to find that flatter handle options were available. (I admit to being fearful that I would need to bring my own fork in the future, ha!) By now, you can take the comparison any way you wish. Anything you have can be as comforting as Sunday's family dinner or as cozy as your favorite local eatery. Enjoy! Cheer and Good Health my friends!

Palate Bistro is an ok place to eat. There are some interesting things on the menu which I didn’t try, which might have improved my opinion of it. The exterior of the bistro is quite cute and hip with an outside seating area with lights. We chose to sit inside since it was so hot. Inside the seating is a bit on the small side and with the bar being open to the dining area it can be loud at times. It struck me that the restaurant vibe felt more pub than bistro. For me, bistro would imply a more chill and relaxed vibe with unique French or Italian inspired dishes. I had to send my iced tea back as it was brewed so strong that it was completely undrinkable. Frankly it was truly only fit to mop the floor with it. The waitress was nice and did replace it with a soda when I let her know about it (though I still got charged for it 😑). The side salad I had (not pictured) was unremarkable. Basically spring mix and thin shredded cheese (a la Costco) with a few veggies (tomatoes, cucumber, onions). I had the fish and chips for my main course and the fries were the best thing I had to eat or drink in the restaurant. The fish had an interesting flaky crunchy exterior but the fish itself was a bit tough. Weirdly there was no lemon on the plate or any vinegar to go with it. I think this would probably be a nice place for drinks and apps but I think for now, it’s not a place for a relaxing meal.

Found out there was a new restaurant in town so I had to try it! I went there on 4/1/23 in the morning because the menu showed a breakfast burrito on it. Right off the bat my experience was amazing. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for something new, delicious and different! Read the rest of my review and you'll see why! When I arrived, I was greeted warmly by an employee who was just arriving as well. Received even more warm welcomes when I got inside. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and smoked brisket! You read that correctly... SMOKED BRISKET!! While I waited, I was offered a glass of water. The entire staff was super friendly and the service was top notch! It didn't take long for my order to be done. Pices are totally fair in my opinion because a lot of the food has delicious meat in it, and that stuff is not cheap! The restaurant is very cozy and inviting. Very nice relaxing atmosphere. As you can see from the photo, there is plenty of meat in the burrito. Every bite was as good as the first. It even had this amazing green chili pepper sauce that came with it that is delicious as well! It's good sized burrito as well! Very filling! A+ so far in my book! I will be returning during lunch to try the Triple S smoked steak sandwich. It sounds amazing. I love variety and you will too! Well done Palate Neighborhood Bistro... well done indeed!!

I stopped in Palate Neighborhood Bistro while in Pocatello for work. Going around brunch time on a Sunday raised concerns about how busy it’d be, but I found a great parking spot and was immediately sat at a table. The whole menu looked great. I literally couldn’t decide what I wanted, so I grabbed a coffee and asked my server, Hailey, to pick something for me and surprise me with it. Very quickly after, she returned with a Palate Burger and truffle fries. THE FOOD (and drink): Stellar. Out of this world good. The burger was impeccable. The fries were incredible. My coffee was really, really balanced and hot and just… great. I ended up taking a slice of cheesecake to-go for dessert, and it was also good. THE SERVICE: Fantastic. Hailey got me everything I needed quickly and kindly. My coffee never ran out, and her food selections, as I mentioned, were so, so good. THE SPACE: Small in the best way. It felt cozy without being crowded. There was a really good energy in there. And parking on the street or in the lot was easy and convenient. THE PRICE: I paid ~$27 with tax for the burger with fries (~$15), coffee (~$3), and cheesecake (~$8). And it was worth it. Overall, a great place. I highly recommend it and will return next time I’m in town.

Visit: Sunday Breakfast Highlights: Scene: Comfy/rustic, yet elegant Food: Cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, smooth on the inside We were in town for a weekend from Boise and didn't know where to go for Sunday breakfast. We wanted something more than hotel food. This spot popped up in searches and we took the leap. Could not have been happier! The bistro was very easy to get to from the freeway and had plenty of parking. We were seated and got our coffee right away. There are so many options for seating depending on the season and will need to come back in warmer weather. It was so cozy inside and all the details on decoration were obvious down to the fresh floral arrangements. Everything on the menu was what you expect on a weekend breakfast but with surprises (vegetarian options) and elevation without the added price. The food was served very quickly and coffee refreshed by the most amazing host. Everything was cooked so well and all details were on point. The filling of the huckleberry stuffed French toast was smooth and creamy (but not overly sweet), the country fried pork was crispy and perfectly done. We felt so at home and welcomed here and cannot wait to come back. Thank you!

Wow what an amazing experience. We had heard about this establishment on the local news and when we drove by we decided to stop and check it out. Service was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door until we walked out. The staff were friendly and attentive and that made it worth stopping alone. The food presentation was awesome from everything we saw being brought. The fish and chips looked super good as several dishes passed by us. We shared our meal and we decided to go with the Maple Bourbon Salmon with mash potatoes and Brussel sprouts. First of all the salmon was cooked perfectly and it was moist and flaky. It was seasoned well and paired nicely with the blaze sauce. The only complaint would be ithat the sauce didn’t go as well with the potatoes but other than that it was outstanding. Can’t wait to go again and try other things. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The building was nice and cozy. I want to mention the service once again sooo very awesome. They have wine and nice assortment of beers on tap and bottle.
