I would not recommend this restaurant if you're looking for Mexican Food tonight! I went here recently for dinner on a Friday. I ordered the make your own combo. I got a burrito, an enchilada and a chimichanga. Came with beans and rice. Looking at the picture you'd think the burrito was the big one...WRONG! The smallest one was the burrito. Presentation of the food was blah! Took 50 minutes to get my food from time I sat down to eat and they really didn't seem that busy. When they brought my silverware, there was a piece of rice stuck to the knife 🤢. (See picture) It looks like they rushed the redesign of the interior. There was stuff hanging from the sealing that looked like painters tape. (See picture) And here was the best part.... after I ordered my food, about 10 minutes later the table next to had an extra person arrive after they had been there for a while. The new quest that arrived ordered at the restaurant at the restaurant, beacuse i heard them order, and got their food before me! 🤔 Whhhaaat? Service was terrible and slow. Food didn't taste good at all. Except the rice, that was actually good. But when I was finally done, I went home and barely made it to the bathroom. I've never had Mexican food (or whatever it was) go through me that fast. Oh and good luck finding the menu on their website because they don't have one. It's on Facebook, but not everyone has Facebook. I'd say they rushed open this place for nothing. Can't we just get a really BBQ Restaurant or something unique. I won't be going back. Uncle Jim's was way better than this place. To bad they had to close. That is all!

**EDIT: I went back two weeks later and the burrito got smaller, did not come with guacamole and cream, and my taco came as ground instead of shredded beef. The service was very good, but it was clear that the live music made it hard for her to hear. The great flavors that made everything unique were gone, save for the delicious salsa. The restaurant was quite busy, but that shouldn't reduce quality as much as it did.** I realized early on that I was going to be pleased with my meal, as the chips and salsa and beans are a great way to see how a restaurant handles its ingredients. The chips were golden and not oily. The beans were very creamy, and the salsa had a robust flavor that carries through the entire bite. I ordered a verde burrito and it was fantastic. The sauce was thick and the pork was perfectly tender. The rice and beans were also more tasty than what I've had at other restaurants. I also tried a taco and it was delectable; the shredded beef was surprisingly juicy and just a joy to bite into. Since we caught their grand opening today the ice cream pictured was on the house, and it was a real treat, and big enough to share. All in all, I would say that Cielito Lindo is likely the best Mexican restaurant in Poky/Chubbuck now. Every dish we had was a demonstration of the best quality ingredients prepared with skill and love. The service was extremely pleasant, and the atmosphere was gentle and relaxing. I look forward to trying more of their dishes very soon.

So this was one of the most hospitable and wonderful dining experiences I had in a very long time. The place is unassuming. But from the moment we called about a wait time to the moment we left the owner, Eric, and his staff were so incredibly attentive. We were there with 5 volleyball teammates after a long day of competition. But Eric’s competitive spirit was apparent as he refilled margaritas and our chips/salsa/dips. He challenged the girls and offered free ice cream sundaes as the prize. By the end of a tasty meal he and his colleague had organized a small volleyball-esque court (a broom set across two tray stand with a tin foil “volleyball”. They played three rounds … it was very hilarious and surprisingly competitive. The girls had a blast, dare to say so did Eric and his staff who barely lost. The girls were awarded: ice cream sundaes, and a surprising gift basket filled with tasty authentic treats and the let the girls and our group stay after closing to karaoke a series our fan-favorite songs. I have been fortunate with my career to dine in amazing, 5-star places throughout the world. And I am certain I will remember our time at Cielito Lindo ahead of 99% of all dining experiences in my life. You just cannot replace or replicate the Love, Friendship and (joyful) Energy that radiates from Eric as an owner and human being. Which is also cultivated in his staff. This is truly an example of #LFE.

Came to check out the new eatery with my adult daughter on 11/18/22. Only open there months, a little early for me to be honest. We pulled into the parking lot about 6:45 and was surprised it was packed! Usually a good sign, and this was no exception. We entered with a cluster of two other parties, let them be seated first, yet we had no long wait. Didn't know about the weekend live entertainment, {usually not a fan} however; the music was not bad and the volume did not prevent conversation with my dinning companion. The service, and I actually meant that specific word, THE SERVICE was top notch, we were seated, drinks and chips were brought immediately. Our wait staff had a large table she was dealing with and twice out table was checked on and apologizes made for the wait. I expressed that we were in no hurry. And didn't mind waiting while others received great service. Ours was likewise amazing, orders were taken and delivered efficiently, my daughter never just orders the menu and they nailed every 'little request' she made. I am a simpler man and want to know how they make their food on the general. Had a chimichanga and a chili rellenos.... Best I've ever had in this state! {My first chili rellenos order in Pocatello was no more than scrambled eggs with diced canned Chilis (nasty 🤢)} Here they are full sized, well breaded, well stuffed, sauced and delicious! The drinks were kept full, table was checked on constantly, chips and sides replenished quickly and without that eye rolls or complaining. Staff was friendly and engaging. Honestly reminded me of dining at one of...

We got in immediately on a Saturday evening around 6p. We were both surprised at how empty it was since we’ve heard rave reviews about this place.

When we were sat at a booth my husband (he’s a big guy) barely fit and the table was bolted down. My side had plenty of room so we switched. Problem solved but kinda strange.

The table salsa is fantastic. You also get beans and queso with the chips. Beans are good, queso is mediocre but was happy to have it since it’s not available as an appetizer. It’s definitely a very plain jane queso, no jalepenos or chilis just a processed yellow cheese melted. Chips are fine, thicker than the usual restaurant chips.

We were extremely happy they carry Coke products! Husband got that and I had a good rocks margarita. For food I got the #6 chicken chimichanga and chili relleno with beans and rice. Everything was ok, although the red sauce everything was smothered in tasted so strongly of cinnamon it was distracting. It’s kind of all I could taste. The chili relleno was nothing exciting.

My husband got the ranchero steak burrito and he liked it fine. We finished with the fried ice cream and it was ok. I’m not convinced it was actually fried. I think it was just a scoop of ice cream rolled in a crumb coating. It wasn’t melty like I’m used to at all.

Our meal was very reasonably priced. Barely over $50 which is crazy! I checked the bill to make sure they charged us correctly, so that was nice. All in all I’m glad we went but we will definitely stick with our regular Mexican place. Everyone’s tastes...
