Pollo Campero — Restaurant in Poinciana

When I first approached the drive thru I asked a quick question about the chicken sandwich. Then waa told to hold on. This hold turned to 5 min and someone else came to take my order. When it was time to pay the lady taking my payment was busy talking on her mobile phone to even acknowledge me and asking for sauces took too long because her personal call must have been very important . After taking my payment I was told to pull up to the front and wait on my food. I WAITED ALMOST 20 MIN and the only interaction I had with staff while waiting is when a young man with a less than stellar attitude came to ask rudely if I ordered nuggets and when I said no. He said "oh" rolled his eyes and walked away to find who the meal belonged too. After too much time passed I went inside to request a refund and was not greeted again. People passed me and didnt say a word. After several minutes, I got the attention of the unimpressed young man again. Who said they forgot. And was waiting on my yuca fries to which I still requested a refund. He told the manager who couldnt be bothered with coming to say ANYTHING. I was given a refund then the young man said I can still have my food if I wanted (I guess as a nice gesture) however the food wasn't what i ordered. I wanted a chicken sandwich meal with yuca plus a family size yuca.

I didnt get the family size yuca but I surely got a soggy Empanada and a sticky wet cup of flan.

Your staff is rude and clearly are just there for a check. I didn't expect a fine dining experience but the grace I gave was far...

I ordered the family meal 12 piece, 2 fries, 1 plantain and 6 dinner rolls. The chicken was good and the plantains. The 2 orders of fries and dinner rolls I can't say because I never received it. I ordered it online for pick it up about 9:45pm. The bag was sealed with a seal tape. I never opened the bag to check if all items were included. Not to smart in my behalf. I got home and opened the bag and realized I was missing the 2 side of fries, and 6 dinner rolls as well as 2 free drumsticks (supposeingly) I have 3 little ones who were waiting for the fries. I had to get my butt in the kitchen and make the fries myself. Also, I couldn't go back because they close at 10 and it was too late. I had picked up the order at 9:45. I spent almost $50 for chicken and some plantains. Pollo Compero you have to do better than that. I expect that from McDonald's not you. Not sure if you guys were rushing because you were closing soon, but I don't have money to...

This is my first Pollo Camero experience. I ordered two 2 piece meals for take-out at 4pm. One with fried chicken, the other grilled so we could decide which type we liked best. I waited more than 20 minutes before asking about my order. They said they ran out of grilled chicken and it would need another 10-20 minutes. The girl just shrugged when I asked why I wasn't told at the time of my order ☹️. I told them to give me fried chicken and I got my order in 5 minutes! The place was clean. The cashier was efficient and my order would have been given to me in a reasonable amount of time if they had grilled chicken. The fried chicken was nicely seasoned and moist with crisp coating. The coleslaw and plantain sides were a good size and tasty too. I would have given 5 stars if communication was better. I will definitely return because everything else...
