Went today for lunch. I asked for a bacon cheeseburger, no bacon, bun was burnt & falling apart. Husband had a chicken sandwich with what was supposed to be pesto, it was not, bun was also burnt & falling apart. New England clam chowder was extremely watery. Ordered mozzarella sticks & after about 20 minutes we were told they didn’t have any. My son got linguini with white clam sauce, it was very dry & he said “clams” didn’t taste like fresh clams. My daughter did enjoy her buffalo chicken wrap. Our waiter Joe was very pleasant but I think he was wearing himself thin. Wait time was also an issue, we were there for almost 2 hours, people were coming in after us, are & left before us & they weren’t busy. Paid over $100….

I cannot find a way to respond so I will put it here. The buns of our sandwiches were burned on the underside/outer edges hence the reason they were falling apart as you can see in the picture. Yes my son was hungry but he was extremely dissatisfied with his dish. What was in the picture is what he left/didn’t eat, he barely took 5 bites of it. And you are right, I should’ve voiced my dissatisfaction but we had been traveling for hours & we were in the restaurant so long that we just...

Visiting New Jersey from Texas this place was recommended for their burgers. Upon reading their menu & how they locally source many of their ingredients I decided to splurge & order the Seafood Sampler. Especially after having the New England style clam chowder. I'm no chowder expert, but I greatly enjoyed my bowl & that helped sway me in the seafood direction. I should have gotten a burger.

The sampler can be ordered either broiled or fried, I opted for broiled on all but the calamari (The waitress mentioned a house made beer batter so I got the calamari fried.) The Shrimp was overdone & lacked seasoning, same with scallops, although both had excellent natural flavor. The calamari was good, but nothing special, tasted like any other seafood chain I've ever had. The crabcake, however, was amazing. Being from the gulf coast I get great seafood regularly but I've never had better. Completely unmolested, sweet meat broiled to perfection.

Their house brewed porter was also very good, but at $7 a pint I wouldn't drink more then one.

I, most likely, won't be in town long to go back, but if I do it will strictly be for the crab cake, & maybe a bowl of chowder. Or just to try the burger as was...

Not a great experience here. Would not recommend.

While my family enjoyed the food (reason for 2 stars), several factors made the cleanliness and customer service questionable. A few minutes after being seated, my husband started getting dripped on by an air conditioning vent in the ceiling that was covered in condensation. We informed a worker walking by (who happened the be the manager). She looked up and said, “Well we can’t turn it off, it’s the air conditioning.” 🙄 So we nicely suggested that someone just get a rag and wipe it off (not turn off the a/c for the entire restaurant). There were flies in our window sill buzzing around, and after being served, there were gnats flying over our table while we were eating. Finally, when my daughter (3 yo.) received ice cream as part of her kids meal, the two spoons that accompanied the dessert were dirty - dried lettuce stuck to the back. Sadly, we had already had a few bites before we realized they were dirty. Pretty gross. Mistakes happen, but when we told our waitress she said - oh, I’ll just get different spoons. A bit concerining that there was absolutely no surprise to hear she served dirty spoons. We won’t...

This is a landmark restaurant for the point pleasant area its been there since before the 1980s I know I first ate here in 1988 its a very intresting place people have carved their names in the wood work and seats and tables. It has changed a bit over the year's it's always been a low light establishment. Lot of atmosphere. I've always their chili I'm not a Chilli eater but I love theirs it's tasty melted cheese on top not spicy with with tortilla chips.my only complaint was their current brand of tortilla chips could not chew them even after dipping them in the chilli.its been a while but I don't remember chips like these complimenting this dish I did have the batter dipped onion rings loved them they were soft and easy to chew plus tasty my dinner companion had their Burger he said it was a lot of meat and excellent they have a wide variety of entrees that also looked very appealing. The service there is good also.i recommended if your ever in the area eating at the Arc.

Great spot in point right by the train tracks ample parking across the street if the small lot is full. Atmosphere here is everything it reminds me of a dimly lit tavern. Benches are covered in hand carved names and the mugs hanging from the ceiling are fun to look at. Bar is small but they have tons of beer offerings with many local IPAs present. Menu is great with plenty of weekly specials and I hear the seafood is top notch. Brussel sprouts app is huge! It could almost be a meal in itself. Pretzel app is big and hot and the cheese sauce is good wish there were some other dipping sauces! Calamari was good but the onion soup broth was a little lacking I would not order that next time. Overall great place try the trivia on Thursdays it is always a great time!
