Went today for lunch. I asked for a bacon cheeseburger, no bacon, bun was burnt & falling apart. Husband had a chicken sandwich with what was supposed to be pesto, it was not, bun was also burnt & falling apart. New England clam chowder was extremely watery. Ordered mozzarella sticks & after about 20 minutes we were told they didnât have any. My son got linguini with white clam sauce, it was very dry & he said âclamsâ didnât taste like fresh clams. My daughter did enjoy her buffalo chicken wrap. Our waiter Joe was very pleasant but I think he was wearing himself thin. Wait time was also an issue, we were there for almost 2 hours, people were coming in after us, are & left before us & they werenât busy. Paid over $100âŚ.
I cannot find a way to respond so I will put it here. The buns of our sandwiches were burned on the underside/outer edges hence the reason they were falling apart as you can see in the picture. Yes my son was hungry but he was extremely dissatisfied with his dish. What was in the picture is what he left/didnât eat, he barely took 5 bites of it. And you are right, I shouldâve voiced my dissatisfaction but we had been traveling for hours & we were in the restaurant so long that we just...

Upon reading their menu & how they locally source many of their ingredients I decided to splurge & order the Seafood Sampler. Especially after having the New England style clam chowder. I'm no chowder expert, but I greatly enjoyed my bowl & that helped sway me in the seafood direction. I should have gotten a burger.
The sampler can be ordered either broiled or fried, I opted for broiled on all but the calamari (The waitress mentioned a house made beer batter so I got the calamari fried.) The Shrimp was overdone & lacked seasoning, same with scallops, although both had excellent natural flavor. The calamari was good, but nothing special, tasted like any other seafood chain I've ever had. The crabcake, however, was amazing. Being from the gulf coast I get great seafood regularly but I've never had better. Completely unmolested, sweet meat broiled to perfection.
Their house brewed porter was also very good, but at $7 a pint I wouldn't drink more then one.
I, most likely, won't be in town long to go back, but if I do it will strictly be for the crab cake, & maybe a bowl of chowder. Or just to try the burger as was...

While my family enjoyed the food (reason for 2 stars), several factors made the cleanliness and customer service questionable. A few minutes after being seated, my husband started getting dripped on by an air conditioning vent in the ceiling that was covered in condensation. We informed a worker walking by (who happened the be the manager). She looked up and said, âWell we canât turn it off, itâs the air conditioning.â đ So we nicely suggested that someone just get a rag and wipe it off (not turn off the a/c for the entire restaurant). There were flies in our window sill buzzing around, and after being served, there were gnats flying over our table while we were eating. Finally, when my daughter (3 yo.) received ice cream as part of her kids meal, the two spoons that accompanied the dessert were dirty - dried lettuce stuck to the back. Sadly, we had already had a few bites before we realized they were dirty. Pretty gross. Mistakes happen, but when we told our waitress she said - oh, Iâll just get different spoons. A bit concerining that there was absolutely no surprise to hear she served dirty spoons. We wonât...
