I was very disappointed ordering from here, especially with all of the great reviews. The food does NOT taste authentic. Mexican food always has flavor and seasoning and this was the blandest meal I have ever eaten. I ordered a chicken burrito and the only way I could describe it was grey. Even pouring verde sauce all over it didn’t help. The verde sauce was oily. I could see it pooling along the sides of the cup. The rice inside the burrito and served on the side was soggy. I gave up on the burrito and figured I would fill up on the chips and salsa that we ordered. The red “salsa“ (if you could even call it that) tasted like watered down tomato sauce from a can with table pepper on top for “seasoning “. Don’t let the little bit of cilantro fool you because I couldn’t even taste that. Cilantro is typically a stronger flavor and it was concerning that I couldn’t taste it. I also want to note that I’m pregnant and was starving by the time I ate and those two things usually make everything taste great. Only order from here if you...
Read moreFrom born and raised - Mexican. Great open space, great music, waiter was absolutely respectful and sweet. My partner (not Spanish speaking) was also checked in on and treated great!
The food was absolutely delicious. I love to cook and can be very particular based on food standards (flavor-wise).
My partner got the chicken burrito, which was served with beautifully cooked black beans and rice. It looked and was delish!
I very rarely see the Molcajete dish as an option so I had to get that. Molcajete (which is made of all rock) came out nice and hot allowing for the flavors of the meats to blend in together which was topped with Queso Oaxaca. The green salsa was perfect! Also came with side of black beans and rice and tortillas de maíz in a tortillero.
It is BYOB. I get too full when I drink alcohol so I got an Horchata.
Overall beautiful experience. It hit home.
Going back this week and taking my in-laws.
Great flavors, great cultural representation throughout the restaurant. Really took me back home. 10/10...
Read moreDefinitely not coming back here again. The menu is overpriced for the quality of food they put out. First, they rope you in with what you think is free chips n dip (which, as an ex manager to a real authentic Mexican grill, should be free) but no, they ask if you want chips and guac, then tag the $10 on after they print your bill. Secondly, the menu is just straight up bland, not a thing will pop out at you, and nothing on the menu is as advertised, especially portions. As a well rounded professional in the food industry, and history and background in Spanish cuisine, this place gets 1 star in my book. I don't review often or for free stuff, I review when I think a place is far from any standard of being a price friendly meal, and quality of meals. Do not eat from here unless you have a weeks worth of gas in your tank to blow on mediocre food that doesn't let you walk away from the table saying "Man, that was great!" Subpar restaurant, mediocre food, terrible prices,...
