We were very disappointed with our overall experience with Rosie’s pizza. We are locals and like to support local businesses so tonight we decided to take our kids along with some friends of ours there after trick or treating in town. We ordered two plain pies and drinks. We waited an extremely long time to get our food, but that was not really the problem at all. While eating, the woman who worked there asked us if we wanted a box for our pizza, as we were in the middle of eating it, and it honestly felt like she was pushing us out the whole time we were there!! She even came over and told us she wanted us to leave our table because there was a couple with a young child that had to, gasp, sit on one of the high top tables so she wanted them to have our table!! We were trying to hurry so we could let them sit there prior to her asking to be polite, but honestly I was appalled at how rude she was. How dare they force paying customers out of their table as they are eating!! There was not a wait and there was no one else trying to get a table, there were plenty of other tables to use!! Now we were not sitting chatting or wasting space...WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF EATING!! Honestly the pizza was good, but there are plenty of other local pizza restaurants that serve amazing pizza AND have respect for their customers. We will not be going back and it’s sad because in such a small town it’s nice to...
Read moreClean, simple, and charming. This place only has three items on the menu: pizza, salad, and meatballs. And they do an excellent job preparing all three items.
We started with the meatballs; they were cooked just right with delicious homemade tomato sauce topping it. There’s only one salad option and they do it very well. Fresh ingredients like roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, pickled red onion, artichoke hearts, feta, and housemade vinaigrette top a bed of arugula, creating a perfectly balanced salad. We ordered the small portion and it’s good for 2-3 people to share.
With 4 different styles of pizza, we went with the classic 16” round pie of half plain and half pepperoni. One of my favorite pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The pepperonis were the small cupped version and the crust was well done, which we love. Everything about this pizza was to our liking.
This place is very small inside, only four high top tables to sit at and that’s it. Definitely a place to carry out, but eating in is still an option. They have a Middletown location but I’m not sure how big that spot is. For two meatballs, salad and large pizza the total came out to $37 which was a good price for all the food we got, considering we took home four slices to have as leftovers.
A simple menu is only ok if the food is done right, and this place sure...
Read moreMy husband picked up our food, brought it home and as we opened the box, the food was all burnt. Now I understand what " well done" is, but we didnt order steak we ordered pizza and a meatball calzone. I was told to order before 9pm so I ordered at 8pm, and was told " sorry we ran out of square dough". How do u run out of dough at 8pm? What place that only makes two types of pizza run out dough? So we cut open the meatball calzone, to find 3-4" of air, the top all burnt, and one meatball inside. The cheese was dry, it didnt spring back. Just terrible. When you work hard for your money and order food, you want to be able to eat it, not spit it out because it tastes like charcoal. I called the resturant, spoke to the owner /manager, and honestly he couldnt care less. I expressed our dislike, waste of money, never come back, and his response was "you could have taken a picture, and brought it back" Really, you closed at 9, we picked up our food at 8:20. I also notice reading reviews, that some of you have lost your tastebuds....that pizza is awful. I also noticed that the owner/manager only responds to the positive reviews...respond to ALL the reviews. 1 star...never go again..would like my...
