Sub of a Beach — Restaurant in Point Pleasant

For today's Lunch we drove over to Point Pleasant, NJ to try out this new Sub Shop.

We had been to the other proprietor's shop 2 plus years ago during and after the COVID-19 shenanigans,. the sandwiches then we're pretty good, but the place was dark and rundown!!!

The new proprietor's have cleaned it up, repainted, brightened it up and has a nice selection of Subs!!!

Kit chose the #9, Tuna Fish with lettuce, onions, green peppers topped with mayonnaise, vinegar and a side serving of sliced pickles...

For me, it was the #6, Boardwalk Special - switched out the Provolone for Swiss, Ham, Hot Ham, Peppered Ham, Salami, Pepperoni, topped with Tomato, Onions, Green Peppers, Hot Cherry Pepper spread and finished off with Vinegar, Mayonnaise and S.P.O!!!

Everything was delicious...

So glad I found this place! What a gem! Employees were super friendly, shop was extremely clean, food was delicious. My son son got a bacon egg and cheese on a hard roll, which he gave two thumbs up to (he’s 6 and extremely discerning about egg sandwiches so this is a high compliment). I got a ham and salami half sub which, at first glance, I thought it was a bit overpriced but I was willing to spend the money because I was hungry - turns out a “half“ sub was much bigger than I expected - I was able to eat half of my half sub there and the other half for dinner (And I have a pretty decent appetite so that’s saying a lot). I recently stopped in at the new Sub Of A Beach, on Rt 88. I had previously been eating at the two previous place for 20 years. First, what a cosmetic change! Totally renovated both in the dining and kitchen/prep area. Lively wall colors and inviting All areas very expansive bight lighting Very clean, very noticeable New self-serve Coffee Center New and well-organized tables for seating Wall menu display for simple reading I ordered a Pepperoni and Provolone sub for takeout. Service was fast and friendly. The price was right, and the sub was delicious. I recommend to the locals please stop in and try their subs.
