I used to come in here all the time from approximately 2012-2018. I never really go out to bars anymore, but recently wanted to attend a goth night closer to me instead of driving much further. Attended The Coven event, and I was super excited to just get out. I ordered a beer, and then told the bartender to keep a tab open for me. I then ordered a second beer about 10 minutes later when the bartender came to find me. She stated that she couldn't find my card. Long story short, she lost or gave someone else my card then claimed I must have closed my tab and didn't pay attention when she put the card on the bar. I stayed at the bar for about 5 minutes after ordering, and she never gave me a receipt to sign. One thing to note was that she showed me some girls debit card that had my same last name and asked me if that was me. It was obviously a girls name on that card, and I told her that it wasn't me. This girl was about to give me someone else's card. The worst part was that she didn't apologize, she just kept saying "I don't know what you want me to tell you." The other employees including the person in charge didn't seem to care either. It was a lesson learned, that I will never come in here again let alone leave a tab open anywhere in these places. Use cash only if you come here. I have read some older reviews on here where people say that they got ignored for not being regulars. Definitely got that clicky vibe here. They serve the corner of the bar constantly and just stay there. Also, the restrooms smell like years of accumulated urine. Definitely must have changed ownership since I was last here. This place used to be one of the nicer places to...
Read moreGreat place, great patrons, great music, and great location! EXCEPT FOR IF YOU ARE NEW TO THE PLACE THE BARTENDERS WONT SERVE YOU! Two regular patrons told me that if I needed to get a drink that I should ask a regular to order for me because the bartenders don’t serve newcomers. I laughed when they said that thinking it was a joke, but after 20 minutes of waving and chasing the Hispanic, long, hair brunette, I realized their advice hadn’t been a joke! The bartender would look at me in the eyes as I held up by credit card, then she’d walk to the opposite side of the bar to help other people. I chased her for at least 15 minutes until a regular patron offered to order for me! I asked him if he had seen me waving at her? He smiled and said ,”Yes, for the past 10 minutes, they don’t want you here, they make it obvious that they don’t want new people at the bar. I would have gladly gone to another bar but I was there for a special event. SO IF YOU GO TO this bar make sure you drink in the car or have a regular...
Read moreThis bar is a vibe!! We came in here after seeing a show at the glass house. Priscilla was our bartender and she is awesome!!! She is so nice and personable and just genuinely one of those people that puts off amazing vibes!
This bar also has so much more to offer than just wine. Plenty of beers, specialty beers/drinks. The next time we come to the Glass House for a show, we will definitely be stopping in again!
Special shoutout to the people around us at the bar who were so friendly. No one felt like strangers, we all just collectively started talking, and sharing awesome stories. It feels rare that these things happen, and it was just nice to make genuine human connections!!
I highly recommend this bar!! If it’s this good on a Monday, I am sure the weekend is a...
